I've made a video to show the difference between the RGB base lit and eco/proffie pixel combat sabers that we have and also to show some of the features on each of them.
I do apologise for the sound quality with the popping sound while talking, this was filmed on a GoPro and after doing some research, it is one of the problems that can occur with them. Hopefully on future videos I will be able to avoid this.

When It comes to "Base-Lit" types,
Kybers basic series RGB-11.
I go nuts with mine,
A Double-Edged Saber Staff.
I did a "Two-Face Style" With it.
I've switched the Hilt's
Gun-Metal grey hilt on black body
And Black hilt on Gun Metal Grey body.
Sweeeeet.
Also I am going to buy the eco pixel does it still have all the characters and their saver colours ?
Great video helped me a lot but I have a question .where did you get those pins that you put in the bace lit one and can you use it on an eco/neo pixel blade?
The small thumb screws on that can be used on eco and proffie too. It depends on the hilt rather than the board whether they can be used. The thumb screws come with all of our Scora sabers though

Hi i bought a base lit one but it doesnt have any music function. It has different voices which changes the sound of the saber but i cant tell who is who. Any chance you could explain who each character is supposed to be? For example im guessing the dark lord is vader, the high ground is obi wan maybe but i dont know who the rest are supposed to be. ???
Hi Richard, we had some licensing restrictions with music and sounds so the music was taken off and sounds changed. We are looking for alternative options for this such as changing some of music files to other music or sounds.
do either proffie or Ghv3 have stylish ignitions? U know like the ones that ignite rlly slowely or spark before ignition smoothly?

GHv3 is a type of core, where it gives you the ability to fully customise the saber sounds and fonts etc.
Can you do a video on Kylo Ren light saber? I just got one for my birthday today! 😁 The reason I need a rewiew is because it does not have an led light when it's on 😊
what about clips for carrying around the hilts for cosplay?
We are getting some clips in soon which can be added to the hilts. I will be bringing out a video on them as soon as we have them!

When selectioning the option for blade is the standards one the base lit version and then if u select eco pixel blade is that the one with the smooth swing and scrolling effect on saber when ignited on and off ? Cauz I think it makes sense cauz the price goes up but I’m just a bit unsure
Yeah
Standard is base lit, ECO is pixel blade - LED inside the blade.
When I hold the button down for 3 flashes(I have a base lit) it scrolls through the sound font

If I buy a standard blade saber, can I change around the blade, for example I use the same hilt but because I can't afford a proffie one now, I could buy a blade with it in later and swap out my other saber or are they to do with the hilt?
Hi! You would need to change the interior if you wanted to change the blade as they use different electronics boards as well as different blades
Can the blade on the eco/neopixel be detached and reattached? Just for display on a stand and stuff

Are the hilts, handles, made of metal, or some hard material?
Yes, they are made from aluminium metal - they are very durable and have a good weight to them
is there motion control to turn the blade on? because it's not shown in the video

On the neo/eco pixel is the blade detachable?
Yes all blades come apart from the saber
How do you enable colour changing mode, I’m struggling on how to do it
For an RGB BL - turn the blade on, ignite it and hold the button for 1 seconds (2 LED flashed). It will then start to cycle through the colours. For a Proffie then face the blade tip down, hold the button and hilt twist. You can select the colour by holding the button when on your required colour!

The black one is a proffie. The eco would look and perform in the same way though

Yes the base lit does have fonts, it has 9 in total including Rey

can you turn it on and off with a single push of the button instead of holding it down?
The Proffie turns on with a single push, holding slightly longer to turn off. This can be edited to have a quick press on and off. The RGB BL is unable to be customised so turns on with one press but requires to be held to turn off
Is the proffie lightsaber kind of neopixel series?
Proffie is a high end board used similar to GHv3 in customization.
what length of blade do u recommend for someone who is 6,0?

Yes that's right, it will have a pixel blade with it!
How does one get access to the SD card within the chassis on the Luke Skywalker hilt?
You will need to take the pommel off. Also take the emitter off by gently unscrewing and uncliping the wires inside. You should then be able to slide the chassis out, remove the battery and get to the SD card

Yep.
Does the blade light up all at once or does it have l.e.d the whole way up mate
The RGB base lit lights up from the LED in the hilt and the pixel blades have LEDs all the way up
I Own 2 Kybers RGB-11 Base-lit type.
It's a pretty good decent budget Saber,
Although it's unlike, like the other Sabers,
Mine has vibration mode settings like:
3 Power-ons/Power-offs
3 different hums
F.O.C Flash on Clash
11 different colors
Volume Settings - Low Medium High
6 or 7 Different Blade Styles.
No Smooth swinging
No Voice Play,
Blaster flash
Locking flash
Could you guys at es sabers do a review on the eco pixel radiance. I bought mine and I want to make sure it was worth it. (It probably is)

What's the exact difference between the Eco Pixel and Proffie Pixel that are available to get on the website?
With the proffie you can fully customise sounds and visuals. You can often buy packs from font creators and then upload these to your board. You would not be able to do this with the eco

Yes the RGB comes with flash on clash too!

One is a Scora and the other is a Ryze

Yes it is still a great option and can be used for duelling
What the diferent about standart and eco pixel?
So in the video I was explaining that RGB Base Lit have a an LED that shines from the hilt, the Eco/Proffie Pixel have LED blades. The Eco/Proffie also have presets which have character sounds, visuals and colours linked to a particular character. The RGB you would manually have to select through these as they dont have the presets
@@ESSabers so the RGB still have the character sounds but you would have to switch to them manually?

It comes with either RGB, ECO pixel or GHv3

The sabers normally take around 2 weeks to get through production. They then take around 2-3 days for delivery in the UK.

Yes that's right, all RGB base lit sabers function the same way whether they are standard sabers or premium

They come with a USB charging cable and you can use any 5V1A charging head for this

Can you change how fast the neopixel blade ignite? Personally i fancy a slow ignition because it makes it dramatic

Can you put different chassis in the savers or is it just the cores that u can swap
On our sabers you can swap the RGB, Eco and Proffie cores over - they all have the same chassis size. This may not be the case if you used other brands as it depennds on what size they are
Does the saber like Luke’s replica have the same chassis as the others. Also what is the size of the standard chassis size?
@@LeonGale06 The thin neck sabers are slightly different to the rest. These have different length wiring to allow for the thin neck. This would mean any such as the Luke, Praxeum, Obi, Tavros etc all require a slightly different core to the others. The actual chassis size is the same though - just the wiring to the LED/Pogo pins is different
@@ESSabers alright, so if I bought the aetan saber or Scora. It should be fine to put a crimson dawn proffer core in right? Or would that not work. Most of their sabers that use neopixel look similar so I’m assuming it would fit

ECO pixel refers to the core, neopixel refers to the type of blade but we just use the word pixel

You can't change the brightness on the RGB or Eco. A Proffie you would be able to do this but requires coding this

Usually 5-7 days after it has been shipped. Production can take up to 2 weeks before it is shipped.

We would recommend base lit for heavy duelling. The pixel can be used but only for light/medium hitting
What kind of soundboard is used?
The RGB BL use a LS Base Lit board and the Proffie Pixel use a Proffie V2.2 board
What profiles are on the Eco Pixel??
We have over 20 different fonts including many of the film, game and series characters. You can also add your own to the Eco so can have what ever you want on them!

The Xenopixel V2 and Proffie light up from the bottom to the top

@@SwoogyBoogy All of the sounds on each type of saber (RGB, Eco, Proffie) are the same across all hilts - so all RGB hilts will have the same sounds and all Eco hilts have the same sounds. There are some differences in the sounds between the RGB, Eco and Proffie though and the way they are played - on the Eco you would have sounds from characters in the films, series and games

Yes it works the same way!
How many character voices are on the Neo?
You can get lots on the Eco, so far tested with over 30 fonts
Is the proffie the same as the eco
The proffie can be customised, so you can add your own fonts but you are unable to do this with the eco

You are able to add your own custom fonts / edit fonts on the proffie. The eco has presets which can't be edited

Yes you can use the sabers for combat! They won’t break from hitting

How good is the standard? Does it light up good in the dark for example?
The standard is still pretty bright. We have another video showing the difference which you can see on our page
Are xenopixel and neopixel the same thing?
Not quite. Neopixel refers to the type of blade. We call these pixel blades (a blade that has pixel strips inside) as opposed to being a hollow blade which has no LEDs inside.
Xenopixel is the type of core. So you can get RGB base lit, Xenopixel (Eco Pixel), GHv3, Proffie and so on. The names refer to the chipboard that is used to operate the saber.
RGB Base lit uses a hollow blade. Xeno, GHv3 and Proffie all use a pixel blade

Top is base lit

Not currently - we normally do pop up stands around the UK for our fencing equipment. We are looking at attending comic con/cosplay events at the moment for the sabers
