It makes me so happy to see young people making music together like this - the experience of getting together in a garage/basement with your friends and just *playing* is one of the best a human being can have. Excellent arrangement!
Really hope it doesn't, just for the sake of more recognition sooner. But with the way things work, you have the opportunity to support an amazing video so early on, before everyone else started talking about/watching it
I absolutely adore this arrangement. It's so soothing. And I LOVE how the video is perfectly loopable. I will proceed to listen to this for the next 78 hours straight.
I love this. It is challenging and beautiful, and I get to see an entirely new generation engage with and reshape the stuff I first enjoyed, what, 30 years ago. You kids are awesome.
...you just cut a quarter note out of the 3/3 melody this song uses... It's really *really* easy. This is barely an arrangement, as well. It's mostly just playing it like a jazz standard, but taking out a beat every 2nd 3/3 bar.
@@RDR911 they said it was difficult to compose in 5/4, not that covering a pre-existing song in 5/4 was difficult. Quite an odd and insecure rant to respond with.
@@RDR911 3/3 isn't a time signature. If you mean the 3/4 that the original uses, then no, you don't cut a quarter note out, nor is it as simple as cutting a quarter note out of 6/4. 5/4 is its own pulse.
Reminds me of my time in high school band. The way you're all just having a good time and not taking it too seriously, and the basement practice room. I miss those times.
Am I the only who thought it was all the same guy and it was all edited together? XD I guess that's the trend these days. Happy to be wrong in this case - awesome group of musicians here!

Sax kid acting like a sax kid, love to see it.
Sax players try not to be goofy challenge (hard)
The movement between 5/4 and 6/4 is pretty satisfying
Thank you. I was trying to figure out what was going on
Absolutely I didn't even notice until I read this comment
Nobody’s talking about that goofy sax player gulping down that water like an alien 😂
Bro was thirsty.

@@shottysteveWas about to say the same thing.
@@shottystevetbf he didn't say youngER people, he just didn't say "people in my generation"
LOL, love reading that tiny-ass sheet music on the phone... it's rough out here!
It looked like a lot of fun!
I was expecting one of those funny "song but in a different tempo" things but ig a genuinely really good cover works too
0:36 Jabu-Jabu! So good to see a legendary beast puff his cheeks to bless the band before they cook! And dang did they cook
Because the OOT in the Legend of Zelda: OOT stands for Orchestrated in Odd Time
Underrated cover; this is definitely gonna blow up at some point!
Hopefully it doesn't take seven years.
Really hope it doesn't, just for the sake of more recognition sooner.

Popping in a reply now so I get notified when future people confirm blowing up status 😄

Amazing! I find 5/4 really difficult to compose for but you guys nailed it! This is great!

@@RDR911 Well in that case, how's your Zelda's Lullaby in 5/4 video coming along?

Friends, passions shared with those friends, instruments, and the ability to play them.
Wonderfully played.
What a gem of a jam! Excited to see what's ahead for you guys!
this feels easier to count for me with a measure of 6/8 and 2 measures of 2/8 which should equate to 5/4 yeah
I was thinking that it's probably 5/8, not 5/4.
Pretty neat if you ask me
This sounds so chill
Oh this is so smooth, I absolutely love it. The skill it took for this arrangement tho!!
