I agree with most of what was said, but I think going extreme on anything is a bad idea. There are advantages and disadvantages to most everything. Bitcoin is a good option to hedge against fiat currencies, but it does not work as one. It is also not a stable asset... if you need to use money during an emergency and it just went down 30%, you are in a hard spot. I have a bit of everything. Bitcoin, gold (coins), some cash, MMarket account, some long term stocks and bonds... I am not rich by any means... I just try to spread around a bit. Next will be buying a small cheap property (which are not cheap anymore in most developed countries).
Once you have a somewhat balanced portfolio, you can lean heavier on one or other according to the situation.

@@dsflat6785 if you want decentralized, you need to keep the blockchain chain small for more people to store copies of the ledger.
@@dsflat6785 even if you are correct, you still face the problem of unlimited number of altcoins, this means there is no true scarcity in the ecosystem other than bitcoin.

Global fiat currency when it can be majority controlled by an individual corporation, such as BlackRock in Bitcoins case, is subject to the same manipulation and other money generation as any national fiat currency. When they (Anyonee) come up with a 1-to-1 (Not 400 to 1 such as Silver in paper markets today) asset-backed digital currency, be it nontransparent CBDC or crypto, that will be the solution that works.
