From an ex member of the UK RAF , but who's family where navy , I've heard of the dreadnoughts, seen the old footage , but seeing the last giant lady at sea even though she was being towed was awe inspiring. To think of all the brave sailors who served on her , and the enemies she has faced. And she's still here. Respect to the Texas. May your Restoration bring you back to us. Good speed lady.
I can only imagine how she would look entering harbor under her own power, even being towed she still is an amazing sight to see on the move.
There aren't words for to express what awe this ship evokes .. I won't even try... I'll just stand and salute with gratitude and honor for her and all her crew!! Man!! it would nice to hear and see her under her own power... It would be nice indeed
I'm 76 and the last time I was on uss Texas it was when I was 8 years old with my father, I like to visit the ship 🚢 ❤️ before I pass away....
She may no longer be capable of moving on her own power, but USS Texas still conveys the power and majesty of a big-gun battleship that once ruled the seven seas. Fear God and dread naught, indeed.
Thank you Sabaton for bringing more awareness to the last of the dreadnoughts!
I must admit when I saw the Texas coming out of the San Jacinto area into the ship channel and saw the picture of the American Flag in the breeze, I had tears in my eyes. That was beautiful! Thank You so much for this great video.
I was born long after she was decommissioned but that matters none. What a prideful emotional feeling seeing her gracefully cutting through the water. Launched in 1912 ( I think) and still with us!! God bless all who sailed on her..built her and those keeping her majestic poise!
I visited the Battleship Texas about 20 years ago and it’s amazing to see her again
The aerial view of her going under the bridge while cars were going over it was insane! I absolutely love this trek she made to the dry dock.❤
Even today she’s got such an imposing presence. What a badass ship.
She looks so awesome, the old girl will look even better once her repairs are complete. Can't wait to see her progress!
Can you imagine what a battle line of 15 of them looked like. 👍
❤ Bless you great lady. You and your crew defended us against evil in WW1 and WW2. Navy family here. My dad born in 1900 would be thrilled to see her rescued. He was Navy WW2. God bless America!!
As a former sailor just seeing this old battle wagon on the water is majestic. I've been onboard Texas many times but this is unique, a glimpse of a warship in its glory.
Not quite "bone in teeth," but I still thought that was amazing. Congrats on successful dry-docking. As a Texan, I thank you for all your efforts to preserve the ship.
The people operating those tugs are lucky to have a awesome job. I salute you ladies and gentlemen 💯💪🏼
she looks like a ghost coming out of a hole in time. fantastic!
Damn that makes this Texan just burst with pride. Such a beautiful ship.
Wow, some of the best and most impressive footage of the(/a?) museum battleship. The drone camera work with other boats boating around and people crawling all over the structure really creates an amazing perspective and sense of scale and chonk.
