- How to Terminate an RJ45 CAT 6 110-Type Keystone Module using CT-RJ314-8
Materials Required:
CT-RJ314-8: Rapid Jack Tool
MST-501B: Cable Prep Tool
TM314-8C6WH: CAT 6 RJ45 Keystone Module (110-Type)
MST-502: Side Cutter
Needle Nose Pliers
FT4-4PC6BLSL2: 4 Pair CAT 6 UTP Solid Cable (Blue)
Step 1:
Cut the specified length of CAT 6 UTP 4-Pair Cable (FT4-4PC6BLSL2) and insert into the Cable Prep Tool (MST-501B). Rotate in one direction 1-2 turns.
Step 2:
The UTP Cable will be scored. Remove the jacket exposing the 8 insulated conductors and a nylon thread pull string. Use the pull string to strip the jacket a further 6 inches.
Step 3:
Separate and straighten each pair of the UTP Cable and lace into the CAT 6 RJ45 110-TYPE Keystone Module (TM314-8C6WH) according to the required wiring code.
Step 4:
Place the Keystone Module into the cavity of the Rapid Jack Tool (CT-RJ314-8) to punch down and cut all insulated conductors simultaneously. This will significantly reduce your installation time.
Step 5:
Inspect that all insulated conductors are terminated to the (IDC) Insulated Displacement Connectors of the Keystone Module. Remember to secure the protective cap when complete.
Step 6:
Insert the Keystone Module into the designated TSOC Wall Plate, Surface Box or Patch Panel.
