I know the red background is not ideal here. But the Tribble Test Map is still broken, which removes my best map option. I did try to remove the sky in Demorecord, but it didn't look great to me. And I've heard that I was sitting to close. If you have any thoughts/recommendations for future visual videos like this, please drop them here!
If you pause the clip where the Titan strafes the Assimilated Starfleet... fleet, the phasers the Titan use looks a lot like these phasers show at 8:06 , in case anyone wanted to make a more screen accurate Titan. (Strafing clip: ruclips.net/video/lUSigauak-U/видео.html )
I actually like that they have only a slight difference... Gives me the option of a different Phaser Visual without sacrificing too much or in this case anything at all.
I thought I was the only one to run that combination lol. Beautiful on the Lexington-class. Aft radiolytic broadside is literally for kicking enemies when they’re down
Thanks for putting all the info together, seems like a good choice for a new alt but not worth rushing out for otherwise. Will keep it in mind when I get bored and want to make another new character lol
I do wish that we had more phasers with the visual quality of the covert beams, a good solid but not overly thick beam that fires in just the right way to make it appear as though we are firing one long beam strike rather than several consecutive beam strikes.
The bonus damage for targets with low health is pretty pointless in normal and advanced content. You're talking a couple seconds of use. This is definitely more of an endgame / elite content weapon. Very similar to the Terran reputation weapons. Which are considered some of the best weapons to have.
Awesome vid, I like the visuals and atleast these Phasers have a slight edge, eventhough its really not worth it to change just for performance. However for Space Barbie, heck yea lol.
Is no one going to mention that fire at will is busted with these phasers? they don't fire from the hardpoints and instead seem to fire from the ships centre of mass.
The only time those weapons MIGHT come into play is against dreadnoughts in elite. Im sure most people these days are leveling enemy ships in 1 shot. With 5 magicks and the dragonsbloond console spiral disruptors still reign supreme.
From the testing I did appeared to just be a visual/tooltip bug. For me, when updating my Phaser CSV Dhailkhina yesterday, I opted for Sensor-Linked instead. But either way is fine.
I know we never saw it fire, but would the Stargazer also have them? I've been using standard phasers so far. In a perfect world, I'd have the Connie III using standard phasers from the arrays, and radiolytic from the turret hardpoints. I feel the turrets would hit harder, just not have the firing arc of arrays.
Just my uneducated guess. I'd say yes since the Sagan and Duderstadt classes are constructed with mostly the same design philosophy. That would logically include the ships primary systems. So I would guess that type of phaser was becoming the new fleet standard in 2401. Whether it was a Radiolythic Phaser or that's just the name cryptic went with would be a Dave Blass or Terry Matalas question. But visually, I would bet the farm the Sagan Class uses the same style.
@@JByb04 Yeah, it does seem like it. I compared the picture of LA Sirena firing on the Snakehead fighter to the picture from the lockbox announcement, and it's almost a complete 1:1. So, either Rios switched to them due to his Starfleet background, or that was the standard phaser type used.
That depends on how much debuff you have in your run. [Pen] falls behind a Dmg or CrtD mod when you have ~ -140 debuff in a run. For solo or budget oriented players, [Pen] has great value. But for those bringing in more debuff or playing with teams bringing debuff, these Radiolytics will be better.

Still better than the 2.5% procs. Best phasers are Pen, Agony, and these. But i like the visuals on these. It doesn't take up the whole ship to fire them. U can actually see them coming from the weapon hard points. The Terran phasers r of course the best but u can only do one of each.
Agony are actually the worst performing phasers. Their tool tip is busted. Their dot and disable are a 2.5% chance. Best pha as of this comment are still advanced and pen.
Tks for video Same performance as normal phaser ? just for visuals ? Beams sounds classic but cannons sounds "Starwars" : just take Bajoran ship with this weapons and i have a Starwars ship in Star trek 😄
@@jaedo71 in active hails the mission arc with drozana and time travel to Kirk era. Two missions reward single phasers in single dhc and dbb and the other rewards twin pha beam.
Nice SFX. That's a win for phasers! As a KDF player I'm forced to use Discovery disruptor cannons. I absolutely HATE the sound standard disruptor cannons make. Star Trek never used that sound. It's like STO made up some crap, and used it as Disruptors. imagine if TOS phasers made some other sound instead of it's iconic sound, You'll be pissed too.
My guess being since they have built in damage boost it'd be unfair to put it on an Omni since omnis are supposed to be weaker (gain 360 arc for one less mod (arc))
But who cares about non elites, we all kill them one hit anyways, if your struggling at those skill levels then you need these lol, for Elites these are amazing in my runs so far, better than anything else so far.

How do u get a test map since foundry is gone?
@@Stinger913 There is a test map on the Tribble Test Server
That visual/audio presentation was really good, i hope youll keep making those whenever new weapons come out.
I do think Cryptic did these Radiolytics well with the visuals & sounds.
at least they should put them at below 50% hull
Beam overload sounds standard. Everything else sounds uniquely cool.
They look and soundlike the 32nd Century phasers
This is why I waited for the crash, and I wanted to start with 4 DBBs since they’d be the first to crash. Got four at 75k each!
Thanks for the visual and audio compilation!

Great delivery format for this video. Thank you Spencer!
I love tis weapon Set, I run it with 32c Refits on my Silik and the damage is insane

Interesting. This shows how much I play with the sound muted. I never knew firing modes had specific sounds associated with them.
Thanks for putting all the info together, seems like a good choice for a new alt but not worth rushing out for otherwise. Will keep it in mind when I get bored and want to make another new character lol
If they are indeed 'slightly' better, then it's worth swapping out your old set for these new ones and sliding those to another toon.
Just the vid I was looking for. Thanks, Spence!

That opening screenshot looks really cool!
It's shoot beam at beam type weapons(not bolts), nice SFX and Visual for me, and it have excellent Proc! Time to get these and upgrade..
I wonder how these phasers would compare to crafted phasers with PEN
Over all pen pha are better but these shine in elites.
Yeah! Phasers 🎉
Charts for the win!!!!
Phaser go pew pew pew! 🔫
Thanks! Appreciate the visual footage!
I wont go running for them, as my crafted phaser's [pen] are doing the job just fine... Thanks for the vid that made up my mind.
Is no one going to mention that fire at will is busted with these phasers? they don't fire from the hardpoints and instead seem to fire from the ships centre of mass.
for arrays ive always said the Disco Connie Adv. Phasers are the best but these are really cool. Might start getting DBB/DHC for my escort builds :)

Dual Heavy Cannons sound a lot like the USS Defiant's original pulse phaser sound.
Its about time we had a new reputation, perhaps one that has enhanced radiolytics, including an omni-beam.
Thank you.
Why did you do a visual test in a red hue area?! What colour are the beams and projectiles?!
Great video, thanks for the info
These always show a higher dps in the tooltip area have you found that and are these the best phaser weapon overall?
From the testing I did appeared to just be a visual/tooltip bug. For me, when updating my Phaser CSV Dhailkhina yesterday, I opted for Sensor-Linked instead. But either way is fine.
@@CasualSAB ok I used sensor linked as well for the hard stats it adds up front so the radiolytic just didnt perform well enough for a change.
it reminds me of the Kelvin timeline phaser emitter.
Outfitted my Neo-Connie with them. Mostly because I prefer Canon Visuals on my ships. But the Bonus didn't hurt either. :D

@CasualSAB. Do you know which photon torpedo makes the same sound from Picard season 3? Specifically when Titan destroyed the Shrike.
At this point for weapons I really only care about their visuals and sfx. As you say, most of the procs at 2.5% are negligible.
How do we think these will stack up against advanced phasers? Let’s say a group of 6, so they get the 60% CRTD boost
Advanced or pen still best on elites
Cannons look way better than the beams imo
They sure sound better!
Have you ever talked about Voth Antiproton for tanks? They reduce enemy damage output. Would that not be working with supression fire?
How do these weapons compare to phasers with [Pen] on them dps wise?

where did you get the Antares model for the Marinda in STO? I cant find that version of the Marinda in game.
Only available on PC, and requires you purchase Star Trek Infinite. www.paradoxinteractive.com/games/star-trek-infinite/redeem
Wait si it used the same SFX as the new Pistol? Or do they sound like that in the show.
Good for visuals but for gameplay I’ll stick to the obliviating phasers
Thank you for calling DBBs undesirable. I like my preferred beam staying cheap
How do you have that variation of the Miranda Class? How did no one else catch this?

Would you say they are a PvP weapon?
Even with bad mods and not upgraded these suckers are good.
I wonder whoch is better... These or the narrow band from the titan
The Narrow Band are better, but are limited to just 2 per ship.
Kinda like wrath of khan phasers
IMO Obliviating still stands atop for phaser weapons.
Nah obliv phasers are no where near as good as pen or advanced
love the miranda hardpoints they so awsum XD
and yeah seems like radiolytics will not really make the day.

I'm of the opinion its because of the wide Arc DHC being in there.

that's not an explanation. Those are cannons, not beams. There isn't even a Wide Arc Dual Beam Bank.
