Just bought a 2014 Spyder manual. Havnt picked it up yet . So excited and THIS my friends tells me just about everything I needed to know that I should have watched before looking.... This is the most brilliant VID if you are looking..... I just cant wait. THANKS. pppsst. I am 74 and a bit, Rabid and incurable cancer just discovered and after 50 + years or more trying to get my wife on the back of a bike, I have finally cracked it and she is as enthusiastic as I have ever seen her. Roll on SUNday.... Thanks for the vid.
Holy, Don't worry about what others think. Buy a Spyder because it is what is right for you. Everyday I see motorcycle purist convert to owning a Spyder. Market perception is strong and getting better everyday. Only a few years ago you were a "dork" if you used an Apple computer... Now how many do you see when you walk into Starbucks?
This is definately a custom RT. Yellow is a fun color for motorcycles but Can-Am has never offered it on an RT. We could help you get one custom painted or even wrapped with vinyl graphics. Jason - Central Florida PowerSports
Hi GrowVerde! Thank you for the positive feedback. I wish I could take credit for the video but it was provided by Can-Am. I just wanted to make sure as many people as possible could see it. The Spyder is a phenominal machine and is light years ahead of any other 3 wheeled vehicles on the market! Please let me know if we can help you in anyway. By scooter I assume you are asking about the Spyders. It can vary from state to state but in Florida you have to have a Driver's License with a Motorcycle or 3-Wheeled Motorcycle Endorsement. I hope this answers your questions. Jason - Central Florida PowerSports
BRP is addressing the cost of maintenance and repairs on all Spyders. Good news for those that put miles on their bikes. Oil changes have increased from every 3000 miles to every 4600 miles when you use the new style oil filter. Plus, the costly 6000 mile valve inspection has been eliminated and is not do until 14000 miles.
As I prepare to become the owner of a Can-Am Spyder RT-S SE5 in less than one month, this video is the best I have have seen that integrates all of the features of a Can-Am roadster. Skip the rest and watch this video for all of the "selling points" of a Can-Am. Why am I buying one? My wife and are preparing for the later years when easier shifting and riding together is a plus. BUT, we are still keeping our individual two wheelers. Watch for my reviews of the 2013 Can-Am Spyder RT-S!
Yeah best at long distance. That's about it. Not like it will outrun a super bike unless you put lots of money into that motor. Over all the bike just not built for speed. And you can't have fun on the curves with this thing. I enjoy the leaning on a super bike than just sitting down and turning curves like a car. I think the Can-am is cool for what it does. Something different.
The Spyder is not a motorcycle or a cage. Its more like a snowmobile. It is what it is and a lot more fun than any damn car. Dont you like gas powered toys of all types? I love my KTM, but would like to have one of these to go with it.
I am buying an ST Limited in Pearl White. And I have everyone of my buddies giving me shit about having a trike. Guess what, tough crap, the thing is fun, I like it, it is cool looking as all get out......so who gives a shit what they think. I've had a Ninja, and a Hurricane (Circa 1988/1992 respectively). Those days are over and at 47 I'm excited to get back on the open road in something I feel comfortable in. Thought about a Harley but just did not want to go 2 wheels.
Seems strange that some of these drivers referred to their driving as riding. Looks like a nice machine for sure, but it seems so bulky that I see more of a car than a bike. I don't know where the "line" is between "ride" and "drive" though. The Piagio MP3 is a similar idea (narrower) and even on that I think you'd have to wait with traffic, meaning it is "not a bike", in my personal opinion. Still, I would love to try one, but there are none in here in Japan I guess.
There enough rich people living in Canada wich will buy these just as summer toys. My country is climatic like your's and we see a lot of them here on the roads.... like you say... in summer.
I was on a spyder for two hours once, had no idea what to do with it. Rides nothing like a motorcycle, more like a snow mobile on wheels or an atv. Same company makes skidoo jetskis. Some love them some hate them, those with many years on two wheels feel they are dangerous, I guess it's all in what you are comfortable with. DO YOU RESEARCH there are a lot of good forums with helpful folks on it. My ultimate turn off was the high cost and the outrageous fees for maintenance and repairs.
and when motorcycles came out there were people saying they would never catch. Same with automobiles. Planes. Trains. ......weak people always shoot down what they cant understand
Nice machine. However, cam am on drugs if they think this thing will shut the 2 wheel market down lol. Bikes like my 2012 10r will always be more of a thrill than this machine here in this video. Not talking bad about the can-am at all. I think its a sweet ride myself and you still get that same freedom as you do on the 2 wheels. I would go across the land with it^_^ Perfect for that 20hr road trip^_^ However when it comes to high speeds and hitting curves, cant compete with a super bike^_^
these won't sell in Canada because of the cost,of the bike.and we only have limited amunt of time that we can ride a bike because f our seasons w I kowow I'm not going to go out riding in the winter brrr to cold and slipery conditions.
Hey Paintballsean17. Central Florida PowerSports has great financing options available to help make the Spyder affordable. Please let us know if you have more questions about the programs. Jason - 407-847-2453
interesting but.... is missing the most important think for this kind of motor and tricycle vehicle... Leaning system !!! is still a semi ATV.. and we know what means take a 90 degree curve with an atv... So...for me... no Leaning System ? not buy this bike

I have a2010 spider
and I love it. I'm 86 and it makes you enjoy the ride and freedom of the road.
Been riding since the 70's, everything from crotch rockets to Harley dressers....I think these are cool and worth a look.
My lead Spyder tech has modified the hood of an RT model with a hole in it for his dog. His dog loves it!

Yes, whats the proper speed for switching gears on the Can-am?

Sue McCartin AND YOU ARE A BULLSHIT!
I know that. years ago, I watched the video that the Spyder can outrun a Mercedes Benz AMG because like you said, it is something different
only reason I won't get one is the 45 year old ladies that ride them.
Wait until you get to be 45 buddy!
and when motorcycles came out there were people saying they would never catch. Same with automobiles. Planes. Trains. ......weak people always shoot down what they cant understand
