@@LucasTigy2 World feels like you are hunting the monster, tracking it down, using rocks and cliffs, waiting for an opportunity. Rise feels like you are in a boxing ring with the monster
Rampages were a really fun minigame to play once or twice! ... And then they locked the end game upgrades of Rise behind having to do rampages repeatedly. I think if Capcom hadn't forced me to grind through rampages, I would remember them a lot more fondly.
Rampages are alright solo, heard they’re fun with friends. But the late game rampages with the special and powerful monsters go kinda hard, especially if you fight it like you normally would but with the automatic villager defenses providing fire support as you smack the shit out of it.
I make full use of ground installations to just unload some damage on them. Then dodge out of the way. That and wyvernfire setup where they are going to charge their special attack. Flaming Rays of Pain.
Couldnt like rampage, did it solo always tought it was meh, alpha azuros was painful to play trough and Ibushi made me think i was about to pop a vein. Could be an skill issue tho
Rampages are only in the base game of Rise, in Masterrank they get replaced by Follower Quests which a lot of people love. Rampages are basically the Zorah Magdaros of the game, no one really likes it but you still have to do it three times.
Rampages can be fun, but are more often than not tedious. When doing it with on-level gear, using the facilities is mandatory, and it's just not what a lot of people want to do when playing this game. Add on that you only get parts from the boss monsters and not the rest of the monsters, and it feels like a waste of time when regular hunts go by so much quicker. On the bright side, the weapons crafted from Rampage tickets can be really solid, and sometimes even the best options available in Rise when fully upgraded (unfortunately they don't get improved versions in Sunbreak). I actually had more fun coming back with Master Rank gear to get the related achievement, where I can do damage far exceeding what most of the facilities can output. My rapid fire pierce LBG does more damage per hit than the turrets and hits significantly more often. With a Counter Signal, I managed to do 21k damage with a GS True Charged Slash. Crazy stuff, and it's pretty fun. The only thing kind of holding it back at that point is monsters being knocked into wyvern-riding status will stay in that status for like a minute or two, no matter how much you damage them, so you either have to wait or actually ride it to have it go away. 10:37 that is an amazing moment! One of my favorite reasons to use Impact CB. Some advice, try not to use the wirebug block against a first hit, unless you know the attack you are blocking isn't a multi-hit and has no follow-up. It can only block one hit, and all the options it leads into leave you vulnerable for a couple seconds, which can be really costly. Regular blocking or guard pointing on the initial hit and using the wirebug block for the follow-up works significantly better, though you do need enough Guard to not have knockback (Guard levels 1, 3, and 5, are the relevant levels, plus there are other skills can improve your guard).
I had a very similar experience with Maggie my first time. Nearly three carted. But he's the gatekeeper for the hub. So I suggest mastering the fight. I had to grind him like twenty times for his plate for the sinister bow. That experience prepped me very well for high rank.
Rampage is okay, though I just go hunt to hunt to hunt so when I "needed" to do rampage quests at low and high rank it broke my pace and it was annoying if I didn't want to do it but it's the urgent quest.
world is centred around not letting the monster act, through mantles, cheese mechanics and multiple ways of staggering and blocking the monster in rise, especially when entering G rank, every monster gets much more complex and technical and every weapon gets access to crazy counters and defensive moves to outplay the monsters in response i do not see why rise would be seen as easier than world, especially once they added clutch claw to base world
@@fastee I played rise before world. And I have a lot more difficulty now that I play world. Rise had Some difficult fights, but overall I find world harder. I am not saying rise is easy. I am saying rise is easier then world. Wich I dont see as a bad thing. And before sunbreak, wirebugs are very op. Before sunbreak theyre are like 5 pretty difficult fights. Wich I am fine with. Because its more easy, I try doing cool moves more often
World has Fatalis, it's one of it's own difficulty, but that's pretty much it. Risen Elders at super end game lv300+ in Rise are relentless just like AT Velk imo.
Sunbreak has some nice feeling difficulty, but base Rise does feel fairly easy to me. I hope the difficulty in Wilds is similar to base World, but I would like if the endgame fights were more challenging than they were in base World. Except Lunastra lol
6:10 heads up from Live Tree. That's where the second dragonator installation comes out. It's recessed into ground at a diagonal. Looking at the image shown at 6:00, the other dragantor switch is near the green lantern on the far side. Which I didn't discover until much later cause it doesn't tell you it's there. Tutorials in this game is just enough to leave you blinded. As always, remember to Retreat Shot the flying greenies. It's the only way to be sure. **Proceeds to bop to the montage music.**
For me, Rampage quests are like the underwater combat in the third generation of Monster Hunter, something I'm forced to do to progress, but don't enjoy in the slightest. When Sunbreak came out, I was dreading that they'd add more Rampage quests, but I has relieved to find that that wasn't the case and that I could ignore a lot of high rank (especially the rampage quests) and just move to master rank.
I fought Magnamalo today, and he was shy, since he didn't use those super disappearing moves. Or he didn't like you lol. So far, I've found the Rampage quests fun. It's nice to be able to blow up some annoying monster with a cannonball and a DRAGONATOR
I enjoy normal hunting more but rampage can be fun solo but it also can be annoying and hard to keep swapping objectives and installations. The main cool thing about Rampage is the introduction of Apex monsters but with quests to hunt them properly it kinda loses its hype and uniqueness.
Rampage is interesting some how it just feel like something isnt right it feel not so fun, it justboring for me, except (spoiler) i recommend to no if whoever havent play it Ibushi, god i enjoy it because that time my gear is not good, yet i succeed and it feel amazing
I enjoyed rampages. Yeah, they’re not very Monster Hunter-y. But I at least wish they at least made an event quest or two for the DLC… especially ‘cause they mention that some are happening offscreen at some point.
I personally got into rise on ps bc they added it a while back and I didn’t want to buy world all over again. Plus ngl world was kinda hard for me solo. With friends it was fun and more easy but still. Rise is just so much easier but the challenges come from the 7* event and mastery quests. Those monsters are insane just like the late game world ones
Eh... I think I'm probably one of the few people who love Rampage Quests, even solo and was upset they were not part of the second DLC. I genuinely liked them.
I hate Rampages. Solo or coop they suck imo Also the thing I hate the most about them isn't even the gameplay, it's the way it makes monsters a joke alongside the wyvern riding mechanics. These are honestly the biggest problems for me with Rise
Rampage is not that bad. It is ok for a change of pace. It gets bad when you grind for some specific items that drop only from Rapage and you have to do it over and over again it becomes boring. Apex monsters that spawn here are awesome fight though.
I definitely had a lot of fun with rampage quests and think there could be potential in the future Edit: I will also say I fought my first lao shen lung yesterday and I found rampages to be more engaging.

People love comparing Rise and World, and it often comes with a lot of Rise hate. However, Rise is incredibly fun to those who embrace the pace :)
the pacing just makes the hunts feel longer than they are because they require you to do more actions for less progress
The only thing Rise makes me want to embrace is a live grenade
@LucasTigy2 honestly true but i still think its quite engaging.
