Thanks!! Great video!! I am having a problem with my garmin chartplotter. When going north I am noticing that the buoy is not where it is supposed to be. In that described case is like 15’ to the right, when according with my chartplotter I should be colliding with it. I guess i should correct o recalibrate the chartplotter or change some setting, but i cant find a way to do it. Have you any ideas? Thanks in advance!!!
What if you’re on autopilot and you see a log in front of the bow, can you steer around it or do you have to first disengage autopilot and if so, how many button pushes?
HI Jeff, yes you can save a track but i haven't done so personally. I think if you go into info-tracks you can view your tracks. From there you select the one you want to save. Thanks for watching.
yeah.. so how do i put the chart from following me where my boat goes, the icon where we are,its just follow the tracks but the whole map chart doesn't go aswell as we move along the tracks, so i have to use my fingers again to move the chart to where we are... i hope you can help me with this.. i have trouble figuring it out.. on how the map charts of the track move along as we follow the track line.. thanks
Hi Raven, so typically the reason why the icon does not stay in the middle of the screen is because you are in “panning mode”, by pushing the exit panning mode button on the top right of the screen when on the navigation page will put you back into normal navigation mode. If you switch between viewing displays it should also default you to the center of the screen again. - hope this helps! Thanks for watching
When on navigation chart view, go to info - user data - tracks and you should be able to modify tracks as needed in there. It may be that you have to clear all. But you could create a route from a track and then save that route for future use.
Not terribly helpful for me. I have a slightly older garmin with auto guidance, which does not work well at all. It ignores obvious channel entrances and in some cases takes you across a channel. No mention about that!
This was really helpful. And Mike's presentation was easily understood and informative. Thanks Mike!
This video is great, it really explains clearly, how the system works. Thanks very much!
Thank you for the info. I’ve been trying for 4 hours to clear those dang tracks. Haha
Thank you for your great brief.
Thank you for the great rundown...where can I purchase that steering wheel ?

Auto guidance draws a path but doesn’t engage although it shows distance etc.
auto pilot does work however … thoughts ?
Great video! Subscribed..
Is there a way to select a track and save it as a route before I clear them? Some of my old tracks I would like to save for the future.

@@Lifeproofboats I've tried to do that but I have not been successful. Any chance you could try it and let me know if it works for you?
How do I tell my Garmin 8616 to not lay a track ? I don’t want any tracks trailing . Is that possible?
So this just happened today. I don't know what it means or how to remove. Several of my charts have a number in the upper left corner. What is it?
Email me a picture. Info@InventechMarine.com

But how can I save a custom track? I only want to delete like 95% of my tracks
How do I clear selective tracks?
