Aaaah, I just jumped on this Cooliver ship train some days ago, and I'm OBSESSED with them and CRYING that they canceled the show probably just a season before they'd get together fr!! For context, Cooper Bradford is the son of the richest family in Wesport(the show's location) Oliver Otto's family just moved in two years before the show started... Cooper befriended Oliver even though he was the new kid and back when Oliver pretended to be rich(his character was introduced to have one goal, to make money) Katie, Oliver's mom wanted to get rid of Cooper since day 1 since she thought he was a D'bag then we later realized that he was acting that way because he lacks parental figures because his parents are always travelling never there for him. Then when Cooper's family wanted to move to Texas, Katy convinced his parents to have Cooper live with them until he graduates high school. They became his sorrugate family, Greg(Oliver's Father) even taught Cooper how to ride a bike, Cooper gets to experience how to have a family through Oliver. You'll be surprised that the best character development happens between Katie and Cooper of all people. At the final season, Katie was willing to go toe to toe with Cooper's dad (the richest man in Wesport) just for Cooper to follow his culinary dreams. She even said they are practically in-laws now. She even shoved his own son(Oliver) just to hug Cooper. Season 1 Katy would never.
@@DiamondTheHuman-ow8pmdid I mention they both share a room and decided to move down to the basement together because Cooper's stuff was cluttering Oliver's room. Through Cooper's money they made the basement a pad with all the fancy and high tech things. Even Greg uses their sauna whenever they are not there. Oliver's parents ship these two so much.
