    Here’s 10 reasons a customer might file a chargeback at your business and they all fall under the 3 main reasons of: merchant error, criminal fraud, and friendly fraud
    1. Didn’t receive item/service in TIME: They didn’t receive the item either in part or in full.
    2. Damaged goods: They’re unhappy with the quality of the item (defective/missing parts/ damaged box, etc…)
    3. They were billed the wrong amount (including installment payments)
    4. Don’t recognize the charge on their credit card
    5. Family Fraud: Children/family members/friends making a purchase without cardholder knowledge
    6. Buyers remorse/regret - Made a mistake (or confused) and didn’t mean to buy the “add on” service- basically they 2nd guessed themselves.
    7. The forgot they made a purchase (including being under the influence or just plain forgetfulness)
    8. No Communication lines: Can’t get ahold of you and wants to end a subscription or change a purchase order
    9. Bad customer service: Disagreement between customer and business.
    10. Criminal Fraud: Lost or stolen credit card

      Im coustomer who filled for a charge back , for reasons not covered here .
      I paid for a purchases ,my card was charged and the transaction was settled . But due to glitch in the merchants system (small business) the transaction was marked as failed due to an authentication failure . Hence I paid cash for it (this was a double payment).
      I tried to get refund for the double payment in ambicble way ,but most probably due to incompetence the merchant , he did not recognise that i paid twice.
      So I initated charge back and I got my money back .
