I support an orphaned baby elephant charity in Africa who care for babies due to the mothers dying from the droughts or poaching by the great white hunters.
And believe me, these words are what the elephants sing out loud when they are angry.

I can understand why Cave was in awe of the recently departed Shane MacGowan R.I.P, one of the greatest lyricists of the 20th century. Poor Nick is a bower bird who collects phrases and tropes of a certain colour and arranges them, but never comes up with anything other than ornate word collages.

Blake, Coleridge, Wordsworth, some Eliot, Yeats, some John Giorno, even Bruce Dawe and I like Clive James too. If you want more I'm happy to comply, but as for poor Nick, he's no poet, he's a bloke who creates work collages to accompany the music.
