Thank you Ashley!! I hope your weekend is going well! And I have an answer for you as to how many grams it takes to knit a square in my cozy memories blanket - between 4 and 4.1 grams!😃
You are already inspiring me to work on projects and I love seeing your updates Carla. I wonder if it would feel good to use up those three skeins on the border of your blanket? The thought of it made me kind of excited 😂!
Hi Beth!! Thank you! Oh I think it would feel great to use up two-three skeins on the border of the blanket!!! I think that's what I'm going to do!! 😃 Thanks for the nudge that way!!❤
I'm finally caught up on all your videos! I too am having this use my stash feeling! I started a written inventory and I put sticky notes on the ones I have plans for. Inspired by your in/out journal this helps me visualize working with all the lovely things I've bought. Just having it on ravelry was not enough. 🙈 Though I haven't been as good about buying as you, your tip about unsubscribing from temptation has helped! I too wish I could just knit faster! 😄❤
I have thought about inventorying my yarn but it seems daunting. Good idea about sticky notes for knitting plans!! Like you, I wish I could knit faster!!😆
you’re going to ace this! even going to a yarn store and walking out with nothing - impressive :). i just found another positive about not amassing a huge stash - i bought a sweater’s amount of a brand that was new to me, and now, so i don’t waste it, i’m having to make junky around-the-house socks that pill like crazy and look awful; so just buying one to try out a new yarn (or none!) precludes crummy projects🙄. so keep up the good work😄!
Hi Jane!! Thank you!! And thanks for sharing about your stash! I once bought yarn for a sweater and when it came it was a really icky shade of brown, (not what I thought I was getting) and luckily I passed it along to a friend who made a sweater out of it that she liked! I really like the idea of eventually just buying yarn as needed for a specific project. I have several sweater quantities that I need to work through; that seems like something to tackle in 2025!!😆And a really good idea you had for buying one skein of a new yarn to try out!! Take care!!
Carla, you are doing so well with your projects (FOs and WIPs) and your stash management! 🎉 👏🏻 😊
Thank you Lisa!!😊🧶😊
I am so impressed by your “no buy” commitment! 🙌🎉
Thank you! I am still tempted, but it's going much better than I thought it would!!😊
I enjoy your monthly recaps. You encourage me when I see all your progress. Have a lovely weekend!
