  • Always a delight to see one of these on migration. It's quite easy to pick out from the Little Stints, with its cold black mantle and white tramlines, and in the scope you can see the drooping bill tip well. Very Nice!
    This bird was in company with 30+ Little Stints, 2 Ruff, 12 Common Ringed Plovers, 3 Wood Sandpipers, Kentish Plover and 6 Black-winged Stilts. The area of arable fields also had Black-winged Kite, the reeded held Great Reed Warbler and even a family of Iraq Babblers, whilst species such as Dead Sea Sparrow, Sardinian Warbler, Eurasian Hoopoe and Syrian Woodpecker were also present.
