In the current Act 1 (7:59), Nova was never really "saved" but rather sent to an enemy prison, where he was tortured for about six years. In the original Act 1, he did transcend the relics as he was an Apex rank. However, currently in the story, Nova is around an Alpha rank/low Apex. While he can destroy and manipulate millions of relics, he has yet to fully transcend them like he did in the original Act 1

I never really liked hybrid mage. The power system is “you have abilities and they can be anything” which isn’t necessarily bad but it’s just a little simplistic. The creator also replied to a power scaler with a 17 minute video basically just saying “and there’s infinite universes in a multiverse and infinite multiverses in a superverse and infinite superverses in a gigaverse etc.” the verse feels like it was made so he could say he had the strongest character and his character beats all others. I haven’t read it though so I’m not sure if it’s actually a good series or not, just that it’s made for bragging rights.

However, if you read the story, you'll see that it delves deeper into the realms, expanding on their lore, including the names and history. The realms, though important, aren't the main focus of Hybrid Mage. The story primarily revolves around Nova's journey and his desire for revenge against his family and Verconia. Currently, in the story, Nova is strong but still not strong enough compared to the antagonists he's up against. Since the revision, Nova undergoes a lot of character development, and in my opinion, the story does an excellent job of showcasing that growth. One of my favorite parts of the novel is how it lets you truly visualize the fight scenes. They're so well-choreographed, capturing every move with precision while also perfectly portraying the tone of each scene. Whether it’s a tense, desperate battle or an epic, triumphant clash, the fight sequences always feel vivid and impactful.

First of all, giving the characters powers over infinity is such a complicated system, the human mind just can not comprehend infinity. Therefore its hard to even grasp how much destructive power characters have when destroying stuff like the described relics. Its interesting but it surely is a chore for me personally to enjoy. Also, Nova never suddenly "got the power." He had to work hard for it, and even then, he needed to train and face opponents much stronger than himself to improve. Currently, in the story, Nova is strong but still not strong enough compared to the antagonists he's up against. Since the revision, Nova undergoes a lot of character development, and in my opinion, the story does an excellent job of showcasing that growth. @ it was one of the first novels I read too and honestly out of most novels, I read hybrid mage is does a great job visualizing the setting and tone in your head, but by far my favourite around chapter 40-50 is a really good fight scene it felt like watching a movie
@ Novas character development happens a lot earlier(around when he is a kid till the duration of the District zero prison arc) on and progresses to this sort of “ antihero” persona which is then further developed/currently developing into something else, I won’t spoil it to much but it’s pretty interesting to analyze
The author says the series wasn’t made with power scaling in mind and that they were planning out the series long before entering that community. I’m not entirely sure if I believe that but yeah
