I installed this kit this evening in a US based 2018 Nissan Armada Platinum. The install was exactly the same as what is shown here and It works great! One thing of note, the factory rotary dial also works for controls in CarPlay in addition to touch. The touch interface is super responsive, zero lag(unlike the factory interface). Great dealing with Nathan as well! Well Done!
Are you still able to access the factory listening options? Like can SiriusXM still be used from the main screen? Do all the other stock features still work or are you stuck on the Apple CarPlay screen once you enter it? My example would be using waze to navigate but wanting to listen to Sirius through the antenna vs my phone (spotty cell signal on the back roads where I live and I wanna listen to Howard Stern).
@@imstevo1985 yes I do exact;y what your referring to for the same reason. I use Waze with in Car Play while listening to the factory SXM. The steering wheel preset will still flip through your SXM presets as well while in CarPlay. The only downside to doing this is you get no indication on the CarPlay screen what station you are listening to. I use the SXM app in CarPlay when I can as it shows song/channel info as well as rewind and skip is great. Hope this helps. I’m still very impressed with this integration!

Hi I'm looking at buying a new patrol for pulling a 3 to 3.5t caravan. The video is great and obviously speeded up to give a rough Idea what you need to do. With the kit does it come with a little more detail i.e. pics, instructions to show exactly what and where to lever panels to remove. I would hate to buy this car and end up with broken clips on panels that vibrate after installation. Just checked out your website. Will email later

Hello bro, thank you for the informative vid. It helps alot. However i have a big problem. If i make a phone call through the interface....the other person hears his voice...this is completley uncomfortable. Also...if i amengaged in a phone call....thr bluetooth will keep switching every minute between factory bluetooth and the interface bluetooth where this make the ohone call stops for seconds each switch.
A couple questions: 1. Does it work wirelessly or do I need an adapter? 2. Do the temperature controls work within CarPlay or do you first have to exit out?

Wireless android can be unstable. Android auto just doesn’t connect as well as apple does (wireless) even with after market radios we see a lot of customers struggle to connect it

So could you describe again how the system integrates to the factory setup? So when you switch to ipod input does this then activate the aftermarket module? Or just the audio in from the module to the factory stereo?

Yep will work :) SWC only volume works, track up and down don't work and phone button works as normal. Yep it automatically switches as shown in the video.

Just a question regarding the 2 plugs for centre panel, ive just installed a tow pro elite and I've hidden the unit behind it, plugged the 2 connectors back in now the dial and surrounding buttons don't work, any ideas
@@TheFittingBay cheers for the reply mate, theres a 4 inch cable, connector at each end that came off while I had the centre apart, found it under the cup holder area, took it all apart the next day n found it, cheers again for the response

@@wozz62 , I've got an install video about this on my channel - but I ended up taking it all out because it wasn't working correctly. I don't know if it's because Android Auto is always updating on my Samsung phone or if the android auto box software has glitches. Anyways, I should have returned it before I installed it. Hello Sir, I got a dual screen stereo for my Nissan Patrol Y62 2012 model . The type to face lift the dash to 2020 look. Everything seem to work except the air conditioners cut off after a few minutes. The old system how ever doesn't have any such problems. Can you help with how to resolve this issue please 🙏

I have no Bluetooth or aux nor can I use my phone for music it has to be an mp3 player only though the USB port. Hi, that was a fantastic video thank you for sharing this. Do you have anyone in New Zealand that does this. I have recently purchased a 2021 Y62 Ti-L model and would like to upgrade to Android Auto, Apple Car play etc.
Unfortunately it is not compatible with the 21 models. The screen is slightly different. Nothing anyone could ever tell in person, or even pulling it apart (we've done countless). But when you open the screen, you can see Nissan have changed or used a different circuit board so we now need to redevelop the board :)

How do you mirror the screen in IOS. iPhone or iPad?? Install was flawless though and love it but heard you mention the screen mirror option.
I have the 2016. Same setup expect it doesn't come with factory USB in the dash. There is one in the centre console so I assume you use this one?

dude78 IPod is just the audio in. The module will work regardless of being on iPod or not :)
The Fitting Bay cool so the system intercepts the buttons and the display, and the back button is used to change between the 2?

You’re correct. Voice button will control the OEM system. You can say hey Siri or press and hold the home (CarPlay home) button.

yep it works for CarPlay / android auto and it’s also a USB input for music movies Etc :)

Unplug and plug back in. Make sure al the pins are ok and haven’t been bent either

Is it true because of the USB type A to AUX connnection there is a delay in sound to video noticed while streaming Movies or a RUclips videos?
That’s not the issue for delay.
It’s the wireless connection to the module. Disconnect wireless and use cable for 0 lag
