Today we are back in business! Got the conveyor thawed out and was able to start making firewood again. Running the Wolfe Ridge Log Splitter and Conveyor. Also took some time to head out in the woods.

We live in Western Pa. and Have around 100 Acres of Land, About 1/2 is ours the rest is my moms, We have 4 kids and two grandchildren, 3 Golden Retrievers and one Cat. We enjoy working on our property and making improvements. We sell firewood and soon will be selling hardwood lumber.

Good Morning Morgans and everyone today is my birthday I hit 75 never would have thunk it ...last year C 19 almost did me in but I guess I'm going to be here a little longer...always love your shots when your motoring through your woods when you went past your shooting range my mind instantly saw the green woods the wedding bow/arch you made for your daughter back in July for her wedding day...Thanks Mike & Melissa for sharing your lives / your family / your 100 acres with you I'm living another life I never would have dreamed of...I'm lazy on reading books with your videos I'm transported into the sounds and sights of your woods your family life your dogs ...you all are brave love your smiles love you all keep being you
I was so happy to see you on my TV yesterday. I've got a big TV and the Morgans estate was really beautiful! You popped up on my phone too so I saved it to watch this morning. You more than likely won't read this day late comment but it don't matter. Great to see ya back to normal even in the snow! The best way to live a happy life, cancel commercial crap TV and get a Roku and watch channels like OWTM! Watch the good stuff, leave the mind control crap to the sheep that love it. We have 13 grandchildren and #14 due to arrive in April. Five of our grandkids are in Missouri, so it’s a lose/win situation; leaving four grandkids in Oregon.

Hi Mike, that view from the driver's seat of the tractor, in the video, coming up the hill towards the game room, with all of the snow on the ground, the frosted leaves on trees, beautiful. Too bad there is some ice on the windshield. A screen capture at 4:24 in the video would have made an excellent 8 x 10 glossy photo, hood of the tractor and all, to hang in a frame and displayed in the game room. It looks like something you would see on a postcard. The camera you are using does an excellent job capturing the light so the shot isn't completely whited out. Very nice!!

Mike you can pick up these little rubber straps that go on the bottom of your shoes and they got little studs on them they work great in the ice they are throwaway though they last couple days

save your oil changes cut with diesel and spray you conveyor and slides on the splitters solves your freezing problem.
That snow falling off the conveyor reminds me of hunting in Colorado and the snow falling down my neck. Good times. On using the trackhoe splitter you need to cut the outer edge off the big pieces and save the inner wood for the stores. I am glad Eva is better. You never stop worrying about your kids. Keep having fun

I hope that this tickles a bone or three. "About the tractor pictures"... where is Mike at capt kleemans channel or Mike from DP dirt perfect.... Nate from out of the woods or Matt with diesel creek..... you letting them slide from the many very good pictures. I would say that many of the pictures let me believe that wood cutting is more popular than farming in many instances. There is WT Farmgirl, Susan is trying so hard to be a hay farmer with her husband Eric. You might bump them to send a photo they like as they are good members of our community. So thank you for the pictures as you are doing a great job of showing some of the many things that have you happy for what you do

i’m going to mention it, but you said it yourself, those splits were still to big, i usually eighth them out at least, 30 some inch rounds and quarters are to heavy still, spend the time to munch them into 25-50 lbs pieces and save the back…you got the set up now, just one more excavator and you’ll never have to take the splitter off and fight with the flat face couplers.

I guess I was brought up different but we never left a tractor and most mechanical equipment set out in the weather. If the weather wasn't going to be bad it would set out but unless we were caught off guard we put them in run in sheds or one type of cover. Oh yeah and I'm going back 70+ years. Just an observation looking at all the photo's sent in.
Looks like wood carrel is working out great wondering if you would make it bigger if you would do it again or would you add another row of blocks later and get more wood storage

This was a nasty storm! I try real hard to maintain my equipment and I'll be darned if the motor would barely turn over. Wouldn't start even with either! Had to break out the torpedo heater to get it running! I certainly wasn't going to shovel 4,000 square feet of snow for nothing!

Little advice, use a piece of nylon rope for the Honda engine, instead of cotton rope that looks like what was on it. Nylon won't rot and is stronger.

Good video, generally what I do with those huge rounds, is just noodle them on the spot. Your chainsaws shouldn't have a problem with that. I don't mess around with lifting stuff that big( I know with the equipment you have its not a problem). I cut it to length off the log, maybe a couple of wiggles to get it into position, then noodle it however much is needed to make it so I can lift it safely. Personally I use an Echo cs590, its my portable splitter, and pretty budget friendly. Also when they noodled down to size they dry faster than leaving them as rounds.

I've been gathering parts to build a splitter like your splitfire. I'm planning on putting a skid steer plate on the end to make it more versatile. Keep up the great work !
Love watching that Wolfe Ridge combo split wood. I remember before the first WR splitter & y'all have come a long way. I tried yesterday to order a hoodie & couldn't believe y'all were already sold out; I'll check back. I've found a couple people who say, I've seen those videos, I tell them I've seen them all...lol. Good afternoon! Glad the splitting has resumed. Nice to get some wood in the pile that isn’t snow-covered. I’m wondering how many more tractor photos are yet to be shown? I figure I’m in one of the last batches but if they’re done or not in chronological order of receipt, they would mean I need to go back through and watch again to see if I missed mine! 😀 They’re enough fun I wouldn’t really mind but I’m not positive which videos had them. Just an aside Mike I have a simply safe system, it was very easy. But their code for the discount was not working. But I had no trouble installing it.
