i can so relate! i have a 5 month old little boy, i work full time 8-5 as a nurse and am required to go in person a few days a week and i am just struggling so so much leaving him and missing out on days with him. thank you for being so relatable!
it’s so so hard!! but please know that you are working so hard to provide for your family and set a great example - I often had to remind myself of that! you’ll know when it’s time to take a new step ❤️

New twin mom (+ 3 year old) also a recruiter for the last 7.5 years… I am dreading going back to work from mat leave in one week. Recruiting is a very demanding job, with pros and cons. I am sorry to hear about the layoffs but I am also soooo glad you are getting a moment of clarity with stepping away from the industry/corp America all together. Wish you the best and thanks for sharing!
I went back to work after 4 months with my twins & have an 11 year old who we adopted 3 years ago and it’s really hard to work in corporate America and be a mom. BUT I also think twin moms are literal superheroes and it’s the most magical privilege to get to learn every day how to do things better or easier for them.

Good to see you back - you have a great grounded attitude about it and were so honest that it’s hard and will still be hard financially too but that there’s also so much good there too. I "quit" corporate America almost 18 years ago and so much happier for it! Love that I've been blessed to be here for all the moments. I do currently WFM (not corporate America), LOVE my job, and appreciate that I get to be here when needed. You find that your priorities shift. I know it's not for everyone, trust me! But if you know it's for you, you find a way. Also, I LOVE your bed! Where did you find it? Beautiful!

I’m a new twin mom, I work for CPS as a social worker. Been there for 7 years, I also have an hour and half commute, I’m missing all day with my girls and don’t get home until half way through bedtime. We’re a two income household but we’re considering taking a pay cut that’ll give me less stress, work from home days and less commute but comes with a huge paycut. I’m at odds.
I hate that you’re having to deal with these hard decisions and wish our society supported moms better. It’s hard when every decision has big cons and big pros. Whatever you decide will be right for your fam and you can always make a different choice

uhg this is so hard & im really sitting right beside you as you navigate this because I know how it feels. you could always find something part time to start and maybe try to hone in on your skills to create some sort of small business that could allow you more time with your babes. I think you’ll know when you’re ready to make the jump ❤️ always go with your gut
