I think the "boss" is all about what's in the track and not who are you competing against with, like the current "boss" is the 'Scorpion' and its "sub-bosses" are the 'Snakes'
I would recommend waiting with upgrading the new car. the way i see it, the more boost u have, the more little mistakes u can make up again with boosting. As u get more comfortable with the car, start upgrading. Just an idea, don't mean to backseat. Love the content, keep it up
Scrapman, DO NOT upgrade the wedge car. You're hypothesis is right. Less breaking power equals good drifts. You will only waste gears to make it a worse drifter and less speed boosts.
Weird. It looked extremely slow and lost a lot of speed on drifts which made me think lower braking stat was bad. Comparing the Audi drifts made it seem like a snail in molasses on the turns
Scrap man: when you upgrade some cars to legendary they switch from boost circles to the boost bar. Just give every car a chance because some are awesome on certain tracks even tho their stats look terrible.
From what I understand, the Motosaurus Secret is a low-key tutorial on how the secrets are supposed to work. My reasoning: This "secret" is the only one that actually blocks your path to the rest of the bosses and the Motosaurus car is a guaranteed reward on the map that has no roadblocks in front of it (except races and time trials). The only other secrets in your way at this point are "Mission: Top Secret", Bone Shaker on Reckless Driving, and Buns of Steel on The Best; the first most likely involves a special car while the two others involve tracks locked further on the map. Motosaurus on Amazing Drivers is the only secret with its requirements within reach without hassle or trickery.

One of the things I see a lot of racing game players regret while upgrading, is that they think losing Boost to gain Speed upgrade is bad. It is amazing! One thing players forget is that, Speed is Permanent, Consistent, Always available unless any debuff or such things. However, Boost is Temporary, usually has some sort of requirement. So, in this HWU (Hot Wheels Unleashed) case, I think Upgrade where you lose Boost to gain Speed upgrade is worth it. Anything else you get is just Extra. Let's take the poison case in the 2nd race of Scrapman. He hit the Poison gas and it drained the Boost, but not speed! So, if he had a Speed upgrade, he can still go fast, whether or not he has any boost left. Also, if you noticed, when Scrapman uses a boost and it stays on while the Drift or jumps, it throws him off sometimes. But if he had Speed rather than boost, he can control that. So, you see, Speed upgrade is better than boost. What do you guys think?
I can see what you mean, and I completely agree with it. It’s just that I’ve come to find that speed isn’t always the best stat. Although in my opinion, it’s the best stat overall. Sometimes, cars have too much speed to where they can’t handle turns well (without drifting of course). Plus, boosting does have one major advantage over speed: Aerial Maneuverability. Boosts can be used while in the air, allowing the player’s car to “fly/glide” to a better location on the track. It also allows a car with super low acceleration to get up to speed quickly, though this in itself is a rare event. Again, I’m just saying that speed isn’t always the best stat.

I think that this is the best way to end this debate. After all, every player has a different way to play a game. Some like to plan things out before they even start up the game, while others will rush in headfirst, making things up as they go. Some may try to slow down to take a sharp turn carefully, while others embrace their inner “Initial D” and drift into and out of a sharp turn. However, in the end, no matter how hard someone tries, or how far they’ve gotten focusing on a stat, there isn’t a TRUE best stat. Sure, most people will lean into a singular stat, but that’s mainly because that stat is, in some cases, the best stat for that player’s play-style. Though, that’s just my opinion on the matter.

i think the breaking power is the time needed for lowering your speed by X/s, higher breaker power can be means like you can suddenly drop the speed to the lower in less than a sec, but for after the snake the more breaking power are means you can go drifting with only a fraction of secs when pressing the button for breaking. and some advice from me : When in the air, dont ever press your throttle button, just press it on the time you touching the ground, and depending on the tracks you actually can use break, on the air, and get moving almost instantly when touching the ground without loosing too much speed, if physics on hot wheels are using common physics that used on many racing games, except the racing games which is simulations where they are using harder physics, and the breaking power is applied on the same method of IRL breaking, which is cant suddenly stop your car

For the record, the "wedge car" you wanted was also one you can unlock from a specific race, just like Motosaurus. And the secret you need with the bus is to just beat the very first level with the bus.
Since ive been playing the game, from what i can tell the higher the breaking power the faster you go into and out of drift mode (so like how you go so fast so you have to start drifting way early), having higher breaking power helps stop you from drifting into the walls
I had an idea trailmakers evolution with bike seats, or an all-in-one vehicle with a bike seat. I think it would be a good Twist on the evolution or all-in-one vehicle
I think I understand what breaking power does when you break you can get into drifts more sideways and yes I do understand it might also help breaking in general
I will honestly say that it would be pretty cool if they had a speedometer maybe on the bottom left or right side. But what a pull for bad to the blade!! It's all about control range. Controllers are quick to adapt and simplify control handling. Keyboard and mouse is more for other types that are about wider range control.

Just a heads up Scrapman, some of the later time attacks are gonna need you to find shortcuts. Figured I save you a bunch of head scratching on figuring it out. Some of these shortcuts are very difficult to do but are pretty much a must to beat the unleashed goals.
I hope you read this @ScrapMan but since there isnt a ' drift ' stat your drifting is based on both braking power and handling, good handling means tighter drifts ( probably ) and braking power helps you get into the drifts ( usually )
