It was on purpose, it was a school seminar performance. Artists sometimes use autotune in concerts. Our professor wanted us students to sing raw. Also when recording videos like this, the phone will compress the shit out of the louder instrument; which in this case was the piano. But one student did use a microphone one time. I’ll keep that in mind!
