ALONE in WestJet Premium - Dreamliner to Paris

- After not having seen my family in almost a year, in September of 2020, in the midst of the pandemic, I flew to Europe to finally do so. I had flown on WestJet's Dreamliner a year earlier on a domestic flight, and because I really liked the product so much, I had chosen to book it to cross the Atlantic Ocean. At check in, I got the option to upgrade from economy class to Premium for only $400 Canadian Dollars, and I ended up being the only person in the Premium cabin!

What an amazing experience that must be, Robin! I remember my flight with Swiss in September, I had the entire forward economy cabin to myself. There's nothing like the feeling of solitude on a widebody over the ocean! Especially on WJ's 789 in Premium.

You are lucky to be the ONLY ONE in the Business class cabin, that the fact COVID-19 is still spreading. Boeing 787 is one of the best and high quality selling airplanes out there man.

Their Dreamliner is fantastic, if you're ever in Canada you can try it out between Calgary and Toronto!

Great video, Robin! Westjet looks really good. Very smart interior and such a new plane too. Airlines do try and serve ‘local’ dishes according the the route...maybe that croissant was a tribute to flying to Paris? Anyway, you are making me miss longhaul travel.....😬😉

One of your best ever reviews Robin. I mean with an empty cabin to yourself talk about an opportunity! I think Premium Economy get passed over as an option too much by us reviewers so thanks for sharing this one! Legrest in every seat is a big win for us tall flyers! Did you not sleep?!
Thanks Billy! Really appreciate it! I had never flown premium economy on a long haul flight either, but now I have, I’m more inclined to do so in the future. You get a lot for a lot less than business class. I did close my eyes a bit, but I only ever sleep well on planes on full flat seats after a couple of drinks haha
@@Vuelogs yea it can definitely be a winner on daytime flights where trying to sleep isn't a big deal, especially if they serve biz meals!

I love aviation videos, my old man is a capt on WJ's dreamliner.... but seeing all those parked birds, and all the empty seats makes me very upset at all the ridiculous panic, and depressed its not going anywhere soon

They definitely lost money on that flight with only 83 on board. I am heading to Rome in October on wj dreamliner. I wonder if they're serving meals in economy.

@@Vuelogs im trying to get other av geek to go to omaha as well air canada did fly into omaha from may 2018 to october 2019 from toronto and customs was pre cleared in toronto meaning you didnt need to go through customs when arriving in omaha

Anything about Westjet is an instant turn off and Onex Corportation. Westjet is owned by a currupt Ontario Corp, Good riddance eastern Westjet. Move to Toronto and ket Alberta start it's alone new airline. Grrr
