Nice video,thank you so much.I have a little problem.If i tight the skin,i have a perfect tone for tek and ka,like yours,but the boom is choke.Almost like slap .The opposite when i release the tension.What can i do?

I have a darbuka with a broken skin and a broken plate. The plate has a crack right through it where on of the screws goes. Will it still be good to play??
In this case the darbuka is out of balanced. Wont help to repair it. Buy a new one here: www.arabinstruments.com/doumbek-darbuka/buy-doumbek-darbuka

Hi, can you put a 8.75" (22.2cm) head on a New Generation style doumbek, or only 8.6" (22cm)? I'm guessing the size difference is very small, so it would probably be okay?
