I liked your versions better on all of them! Your voice over work is so engaging -you strike a great balance between saying alot in a hurried yet natural pace-That is supposed to be a compliment-Kudos to you kiddo!
Exactly…. It’s perfect… I can’t express enough how others voiceovers and music just destroy the DIYs … they sound dreadful, boring, condescending, fake, un-genuine, some sound like little mice, while others sound like vampires 😭 whit’s are literally engaging and fun to watch
I am just now catching up on my crafter's videos because my sister passed away a month ago.😥 I love watching your videos, Whitney! You always make me smile, so thank you.❤ All of your diys turned out beautifully, as always! My favorite is your mirror! You always make these projects look so easy!😊 That is such a great photo of you & your family!❤ Your 2nd mirror looks great, too! As always, Whitney, thank you for sharing all of your hard work, creativity, talent, and inspiration! Stay safe, healthy, and positive! God bless you and your family!🙏❤️🇺🇸😊
I really like the way you added the white cotton design to your basket. I have SO many baskets that I'd love to try that on 1 or 2 of them just to add another sort of variety to them. Yours came out beautifully. -Sarah
Love them all! I do cement decor in my Etsy store and if you love that look try cement all. Dries fast and is strong. Your rustic mirror is better than the expensive one!!! Love your wood projects
Your energy and creativity are contagious. Between you and your buddy, Courtney, I have loved hearing your word-isms. My favorite from this video: “I just wung it until it looked like I wanted.” Pretty sure I’ve said that before, so let’s make it an official word! Keep up the great work, Whitney. Your videos inspire me.
One more thing…I use my mitre saw, circular saw, reciprocal saw, brad nailer, etc with little to no intimidation. However, I cannot get over my fear of using the Kregg jig! Aside from their tutorial, any tips?
OMG - don't be scared friend :) My best tip is make sure it's clamped down so you have counter pressure to push the drill in. You also may have to push the drill in, pull it out and then drill the rest of the way. Sometimes the drill sawdust can get it in the way. Once you do it once, you'll be off and running. You've got this!!
I love the lamp dupe! Once finished yours looks awesome! I’ll definitely try the cement bowls! I’ve been wanting to try a cement project and you just inspired me to ‘get after it!’! I like the two mirrors as well!
What a lucky find for your bookends. They look every bit as good as the West Elm version. I love your re-framed mirror better than the original and I think I might have to give the cement planters a try. Thanks for more great ideas!
The mirrors were gorgeous -- personally I liked the one you bleached the best. Also loved the cement bowls. Sorry you broke one, but also glad you let us see that you have mishaps just like the rest of us. We all want to be perfect, but none of us are!!
You make it hard to narrow it down to favorites when I am screaming at the screen, "Oh I love that!" But I do love the Pottery Barn dupe mirror, the concrete project, the lamp and the patio furniture. The patio furniture gives me hope. I have been waiting since 1995 for the deck/patio. At least we are talking about it.
I loved absolutely everything you did. My fave would be how you created a larger frame for the mirror. I've never thought of doing that and it's genius. A tip form me to you when you cover a lamp or vase or anything like that, I use DriDex spackling compound....goes on pink dries white.....keeps me from being to anxious and wrecking my project.
Love the mirrors ❤When your distressing your wood try using a round wire brush attachment for your drill, hold it at an angle & run it over your wood. This will take away the softer parts of the wood giving it tons of texture to increase the barn woods appearance. I do it all the time then ding my wood up. I always get asked where I find all my barn wood. 😊
That's a great suggestion! We actually have one, but I was worried I might mess it up because it's my husband's so I'll need to add one to the stash that I can just go to town on wood with lol
As always your Dupes are inspiring. I really like the distress mirror. I am planning an update for my bathroom and think this will be a great option for my new mirror!
Its really hard to decide which I like most. I love so many of the ideas I’m definitely going to try the concrete containers and the mirror build also the patio furniture. I have a lot of baskets and adding the stitching to them is so awesome. Thanks for sharing.
You always impress me. We lived in a 100 + year old house. I don't think the kitchen cabinets were ever cleaned except for just wiping them off, so I spayed them with oven cleaner. It took me a while but I got them all clean.
Get you a little hatchet to help make distressing in your wood use your drill and drill bits also. The mirror turned or beautiful. Have you ever thought about starting your own furniture line? I think you would do great. I LOVE the MIRROR!!!
Whitney, I love all of these projects. They all came out amazing and I don't blame you, I would never pay those prices either, LOL. My favorite was the first mirror, it looks a lot like the high priced one, I love how you distressed it and the stain really made it pop.
Of course it’s the patio furnishing…. Love it… just really looks cozy and drags you in.. here in Florida it’s rainy season. No covered area yet to use it. I smell the wood burning so I am thinking…lolol
I loved the first mirror! Also really thought the idea to add those prints from Walgreens to the frames was a great and easy way to change out decor without spending a lot!
Wow, the bookends turned out so beautifully! Loved the gorgeous basket! The concrete bowl is so amazing! The ocean picture is so lovely! They were all stunning! Great job!❤️❤️❤️
I love all of your dupes, they all look awesome. I’m sorry one of them broke when you tried to pull it apart. I don’t normally like wood distressing but yours looks great and I really liked it, that surprised me lol. I love how the other mirror looked stripped down too. I always get shocked with how much the stores charge for their stuff and people seem to buy lots of it. Anything I think I could try myself I wouldn’t even think of purchasing but then again I definitely wouldn’t spend what they want on for their stuff so if I couldn’t make it I’d miss out. Maybe years ago I would have just gone out and bought it but age and less money has made me grow up I guess and I can’t hand that much money over for something that is so simple to do myself. Everything you do Whitney, I love there’s never been one thing you’ve made that I haven’t loved. TFS and I hope you’re having a great week. Looking forward to your next video. Your son is adorable by the way. I love what you did to your wood signs as well.
Hey Whitney! Everything is beautiful as usual but my favorite was the first mirror. My daughter recently asked me to redo an expensive mirror she has….she just got a new house and it didn’t go with her new decor. I was very nervous about doing it but it came out really nice and she’s very happy with it! Getting out of my comfort zone!
It’s kinda like picking a favorite kid, but the mirror for sure. We are getting ready to add a patio at our lake house (DIY of course) and now I have my furniture picked out
@@Whiskeyandwhit OMGoodness, you have NO IDEA lol, I’ve shown LOTS of different videos of different projects and yours are ALWAYS THE FAVORITE! I’ve made soooo many trips to dollar tree, (the closest one to us is 62 miles), so I could buy supplies for something that they want to make lol! I provide all the supplies for their projects and I take my cricut explore air 2, my laptop, printer, light box, etc., every week for them to use. I’m trying to save up for a new cricut maker 3 that I can leave at the shelter and some basic tools and supplies so they can make things on their own. I usually pick a couple of them up for every craft show that I do so they can get experience working with the public, handling money, a card reader, merchandising, etc. I’m just really passionate about helping them to learn how to think outside the box in terms of earning an income for them and their families. My favorite was the cement containers. Thanks for the tips and heads up. I can think of so many things I can use these for especially with summer and having parties outside. I won't be upset if they break as upposed to it breaking if I spent a ton on them. Thanks so much ❤
My favorite was the mirror. I think I will go hunt for the wooden rainbows and make those. The mirror takes a lot of work but I may attempt or I may suggest strongly the husband assists. I have a weak back from an old car accident. The mirror that you updated looks so much better than what I see in stores.
OMG, Whitney! I'm in love with the gorgeous mirror you duped of the $600 PB mirror!!! Seriously IN LOVE!!! I'm DEFINITELY trying that diy!!! I really love the shape & finish of the other mirror you made over as well. Both my faves for this video! Also, thank you for sharing how to use cooking spray to easily unmold the concrete from the bowl "forms" you used. I may have to try that out too. 🤯
Everything was awesome but my favorites were the mirrors especially the one that you stained and the cement decor, they looked so high end! You are so talented and I truly appreciate you sharing everything, thanks so much!
I have a couple favorites in this video. Those cement bowls, I also loved that 1st mirror you made and lastly the poster art you made! But I really do love all of your DIYs like I always do!! Tfs 🤗🙂♥️
I LOVE how both mirrors turned out, but the first one was my fave. It turned out SO NICE. I liked the repurposing of the word signs you already had as well
