2:03:48 - the Steelers punter who started that fight, Shayne Edge, was a substitute player for their regular punter who was out injured for a few weeks. He said that the fines from the league for the fight and the ejection took up his entire pay for this game and instead of getting a check, he got a stub showing that all his pay went to fines and he got $0 for that week.
@@killalltogepis9916 I was alive then and he was pretty decent and he was certainly better than Mike Tom Zack at quarterback that year for sure 100% and he was way better than Stewart as a quarterback we had some good teams much better team with him than without. Go rewatch every game from 1994 in 1995 and you'll see
@@johnnygold753 I guess looking back on it, he was the best qb Steelers had after Terry Bradshaw and before Ben Roethlisberger but I doubt he would have taken Steelers to the Super Bowl in 1996. Steelers had too many injuries and free agent losses after losing Super Bowl XXX.
@@killalltogepis9916 I feel you but woke up we did in 1997 with Stewart. You know they didn't Him the money because they were worried they would lose rod Woodson Kevin green Greg Lloyd and such to free agency agency and they lost all of them anyway. I read an old article about it from that free agency. And when you read it in a hindsight it's disgusting because they didn't keep those guys anyway they should have just paid him the money and went to and maybe one another Super Bowl and with the career trajectory of Niel we woulda ended up with Ben anyway. @@killalltogepis9916 Go look at the free agent market that year also and the next few years for quarterbacks the league is very lucky right now it is quarterback rich part of that is the rules but right now lot more Qbs that are good. Steelers made a mistake not resigning him and the whole league took notice and to this day you don't see good qbs leaving the team they are with especially super bowl Qbs
Now this is football. Miss these good ol days
Player's was much tougher back then than they are nowadays. I don't think I see anybody come out the game due to injury
Oh and I always loved Eddie George One of the funest runners to watch Is he ran hard and had a ton of heart
Barrow was such a great linebacker. That hit on Tomczak would be a penalty these days.
Great hit on Bettis by Bowden early. Man I miss these old AFC Central slugfests ...

12:30 omg lol never seen the bus get destroyed like that damn
It was actually clean until he took his helmet off

Tomczak (18) throws a touchdown to Stewart (10)
Irobeatfly, do you have the Oilers vs Falcons 1996 game?
Sorry bro, I don't. Yet. Lol
That's cool! Appreciate the uploads of the classic Oilers games.
These were great steeler teams not the drama riddled garbage of today
I blame social media or social diarrhea.. players shouldn't be allowed to have accounts especially during the season.. but that'll never be.
@@s.tavares3257 you can blame social media on so much more than “days of our Steelers”
The internet and social media have ruined virtually everything

Days of our Steelers
All these era Steelers teams needed was a good quarterback
54:13 Gregg Williams tp the right of Fisher, when he wasn't a DC yet.
12:29
Joe Bowden leveled Jerome Bettis
Don criqui is the best
The steelers woulda Is Went to the Super Bowl again this year if they just had kept Neil
I'm a Steelers fan but no way in hell we were going back to the Super Bowl that year. Neil O'Donnell wasn't good.

If I was a ref and he spoke to me like that he'd be face down on the fake turf in seconds.
