Clearly did their research unlike those American/Hawaiian teams who are saying completely irrelevant words.
You know they saying all Polynesian/Austronesian cultures come from Taiwan originally...that includes the Maori's so all islands are connected to each other including Japan.
These kids are the legitimate successor of the Haka tradition. Actually element of Maori culture was undoubtedly adopted thousands of years ago when their ancestors reached the Japanese archipelago by boat. "KA MATE!" sounds very much like "Gambatte" in Japanese meaning "Good luck or do your best to the last".

別動画で、このハカは、オークランドのコーチからプレゼントされた柏ハカだと知りました。どうしてこんなに幼い子たちが、誇りと敬意を持ってパフォーマンスできるんだろうと不思議でしたが、独自の柏ハカを披露してると知って附に落ちた気がします。歌詞もとても素晴らしく、贈って頂いた方の愛がたくさん感じられます。

札幌だったので前年のラグビー退会のときのように海外のサポーターが
街に溢れ
ワイワイガヤガヤした光景を楽しもうと思い
チケットも応募しましたが
観客入れることさえ無くなったので
とても残念でした
でも、
今後生きてる間に
サポーターがたくさん来るような国際的なスポーツ大会日本でも
開かれることはあると思うので
開催された暁には
積極的に見に行って楽しみたいと思います
