Thankfully I haven't been buying too much figures lately, so hopefully can get all of them. Flynn's statement about deep dives has me excited, curious... and worried😂 My pocketbook, good sirs, leave her be!!😂
Simply AMAZING! As an old school D & D animated fan I am in awe with how Super 7 just jumped in there and gave us a Tamat dragon right off the bat. How can you have Dungeons & Dragons and not have a dragon? I have all the Hasbro D&D animated figures and little things like Eric able to actually hold his bow is an appreciated detail. I can't wait to see more. So glad to see D&D the animated series get more love. Super 7 is killing it with all these great franchises!
I love your work so know I say this with the utmost love and support: I get such a kick out of it when you cover stuff that you aren’t super knowledgeable about. 😅
Not surprising as material costs have soared since covid. Also, I would imagine the rumored HASLAB Tiamat from last year (pre Hasbro $$$ troubles) would have topped out at $250 (with a figure) before tiers.
I'll still be buying it!! 300 bucks is steep but it is what it is... Thing is if you decide to wait you'll regret it because it'll be 2x the price after it sells out and then continue to get more expensive as time passes...
@@Wacky_Wondersdefinitely. A smaller company made a Monster Hunter Rathalos dragon that's insanely posesble (even the toes can move) that has a light up fire effect, and almost 3ft wingspan, for $240-250. Creative Beast studio has a giant super poseable ice dragon for $280…
i want that Tiamat, but man is that price rough for a big ole Vinyl. they at least could've given her some breath affects to add to the different heads.
Dan I’m hoping for great views for sdcc like you gave us last year since a lot of are living vicariously through you. I hope you have a great time and we get great toys!
The ReAction figures are a little timpting. However, the prices have always been too high for the small and limited articulated figures that you get. Personally I like larger scale figures -which can still have large playsets and vehicles and so forth. The smaller scale certainly lends itself to play sets and vehicles and world building stuff.
Well that was disappointing to find out that Tiamat is going to be $300. Really wanted it but never will be in my collection at that price. Looks as. Was gonna put it with my Hasbros. Maybe someone else will do a more affordable one at some point.
Tiamat, the Dragon Queen was huge in the show, Super 7 needs to make her action figure titan class size to be in scale with Hank, Sheila & the rest of Dungeon Master's pupils, the 1 they got now is way too small & she needs to have more articulation as sometimes Tiamat walks on all fours or stand on her hind legs, the heads should be movable for posing & effects parts of the main head breathing fire, the smaller heads breathing fire, frost, poison gas, & lightning bolts that can combine to form a powerful energy blast.
A pop up D&D shop video was a fun, unexpected way to kick off your coverage Dan, ty! As someone who still plays weekly, I was geeking out pretty hard at a lot of this stuff. Ty for the preview!
They really should try selling these figures in the mass market scale. (Maybe I am using the wrong term.) These should be in stores in wonderful window boxes for customers to actually see what they are buying. The goal is to get new customers and new fans for the good of the brand.
The d&d reactions are a welcome sight. They would be a good scale for the fortress of fangs. It's kind of funny that they could be little monsters for the ultimates to fight.
Super 7 is going all in on Dungeons and Dragons with Tiamat... At $300 I'm considering more now to buy it and collect their ultimates line since Hasbro dropped. I only got the first wave of Hasbro so I need a replacement line man.😀☕💡✌️
The problem with the Super7 figures is the prices are way too high. The quality of the figures is also questionable. (Has Super7 made the necessary improvements?) The articulation is not enogh for action figures of that size. I am certainly happy that they plan to do deep cut figures, but the above listed problems are probably too much for deep cut figures to overcome.
Why didn’t pixel Dan call out the $50 dollar difference in price for Tiamat? You can clearly see that the price on the tag said $250.00 not $300.00 😡 and you can clearly see that they awkwardly panned the camera away from it. Not cool and very disappointing.
The figure packaging with the map looks like fun, but.... if we open the figures does that ruin the packaging and destroy the map? Are these packages easy to open and easy to re=close?
I love the designs but the prices are sadly prohibitive for me. Woah, the price tag said 250! I mean that’s still way too much but the raised price 50 bucks when Im sure people complained it was too expensive already?

These are neat but I wish they would get away from the Animated D&D stuff. Even as a kid I knew the cartoon wasn't really related to anything really D&D. That party would have been dead in the first encounter. The figures they are doing for the Reaction series are way more interesting than the animated figures but need to be done in the ultimate treatment. Its like they are doing exactly backwards from what I would want. Reaction animated and Ultimate for the D&D from the hard backs. Tiamat would work better at the Reaction scale and cost a whole lot less. Besides the Hasbro figures were only $3 when I picked them up and Ollies is still filled with the first wave of them. I might sound harsh but at least I know Tiamat is a female!
Dan can you do me a favor and ask Lyin Brian Flynn if they're going to do conan the adventurer toys from the cartoon and if he's going to do Captain Planet figures anytime soon?

“Ultimates treatment”…. Less articulation, 27 sets of hands, inconsistent QC and WAY more expensive than mass retail?
Couldn’t agree more 👍🏻👍🏻
Not sure if Dan thought $300 is too expensive or not. It's too expensive!
It is. I think I can justify it (financially, I mean) because my figure buying has slowed way down. You're 100% right tho'.
