    @rome8180 Год назад +8

    I love that they included two different amp models. The best amp I've ever played in person remains a vintage B-15N. So it's cool to have an approximation of it in this pedal to go along with the SVT. As much as I love the SVT, the B-15 is just better for certain older styles of music. There's a reason every high end studio has one.

    • @howler9171
      @howler9171 Год назад +2

      My 2 pro and I are inseparable. Over the years I've probably had a dozen other amps and nothing else has ever measured up. I don't know why ampeg never did more heads with the "drive" knob, because the 2 pro completely DESTROYS anything else they've ever made just for that one knob alone. Not only does it make your amp sound cranked at bedroom volume, but turning up the drive when your amp actually IS cranked just gives it that extra push that no other amp has. Running a clean boost pedal in front of an SVT CL might get close, but it's not the same as having an actual tube-powered onboard boost

      Also one of the problem with the origin is that the cab sim only work on the DI out and cant be toggle off. So if you really wanted to get a clean sound you need to use the Line out. And if you wanted cab you were forced to use the XLR. On this one the cab sim Can be toggle off plus you Can also have the cab sim on the DI out + the Line out. Plus you also have the preamp out that is post eq and the THRU output thats pre eq. So 4 différent output to mess around is really nice.

    • @nj1255

      @@champ6436 I wouldn't say that's something that has ever bothered me with the Super Vintage. I use the 1/4 amp out when I use it with my GK 700RB, and the DI whenever I go straight to FOH or use it in studio. The cab sim sounds much better than any bass cab IR I've ever tried (Ownhammer, Darkglass, York Audio, Redwirez, Two Notes, 3SigmaAudio etc). I've tried recording the amp out and used IRs with it, but nothing sounds as good as the internal cab sim.

    No real Fender basses? How can we verify iconic bass tones without the iconic guitars that started it all?

      because brand doesn't matter, only pickups

      @@ileutur6863 I get it. But it's the whole instrument that produces it's complete tone. My 78 P bass doesn't sound the same as my Keisel bass with a P bass pick up configuaration. I just thought it odd and believe it's a great pedal, especially because it is built by Ampeg. But the majority of the audience you are speaking to probably play Fender basses. Why not demo at least one? All cool. I appreciate the great review. Thank you

    Loud vocals, quite bass makes for awful production. The focus in not the speaker. Mix properly.
