In the swinger story, it sounds like someone else in that community let the cat out of the bag. That sort of activity is usually kept private and within the community, so it's highly unlikely the son would've found out anything by accident. Either he would've been looking for his own interests already (and such reaction highly hypocritical), or the more likely scenario is someone told him. I'm willing to bet someone else in the community has a beef with the parents for some reason and informing their son was their way of getting back at the parents.

I honestly feel bad for the swinger couple. Personally, I don’t agree with that lifestyle, but that’s still their choice when they are both consenting. I don’t think the adult son and daughter are being very fair. You can disagree with someone and still maintain some type of relationship. Even if they opt not to be that close anymore, cutting all contact is a bit much.

Freedom of choice doesn't come with freedom from consequences. Where I come from, if this happened in my country, I would be looked down upon and made fun of. You need to understand that your freedom doesn't come at the expense of others around you.

They chose to do it, so they should accept the consequences. If I found out my parents were doing that, I'd do the exact same thing as the son and daughter, especially since me and my family are Christian.

The US is so prudish... here in Germany swinging is still not a thing for everyone, it is a very small percentage of people who do this (about 10.000 couples in 5 Million people)... but on the other Hand, there are not as many people who get offended by swinging. Most people just say "whatever, its your thing, as long as you dont bother me, go for it". So the "scene", when you want to call it like this, is for their own... they meet in Clubs or in private homes and there are never childs involved. A very small percentage of those swingers meet on public places... for example on parking lots.
I am doing this for several years... we got good friends while we meet new people. Some of them are friends for 7 years now. My wife is even godmother of a child from one of the couples we meet by this "hobby". Its not such a bad thing... we meet, we talk, we laugh, we cook, we play cardbord games, we drive together on holidays, we are watching TV, we do sports, and so on... like friends do... and sometimes - not everytime - we got some "quality time" for 3 or more of us. Thats not a bad thing...
This has so many benefits in a relationship...
1. You do not cheat on each other, when you can take anyone to bed you want "together". You dont need to cheat, cause you can have those benefit whenever you want.
2. You will dress better. You will take more care about yourself, your hygene, your fitness, your smell... cause you get first dates more often. So you are more attractive... and so you stay more attractive to your Partner as well.
3. You will feel saver in your relationship... cause when you can trust your partner while she is having fun with another man and you are still the number 1 for her, you can trust her with everything else.
4. While making all this together, you have a "hobby" which is for both of you. This is nothing where you slowly divorce from each other, cause the guy does this und the woman does that and both develop in other directions... you walk the same path... together.
5. Friendships which will last for years will be a Bonus. We still know nearly every Person we ever had a crush on... and we talk to each other on Chat nearly every day... and from time to time we meet each other.
Do y'all DNA kids to find out who the father is or is it more like" We like the degenerate act and not the responsibility when it comes to kids" sorta thing?

The "pwingies" thing reminds me of one of my uncles who has always done a somewhat similar thing to me throughout my life. Like kids do, when I was really young, I used to make up little songs and such things. He intentionally remembered mine so that he could torture me by making reference to them in conversations during my adolescence and adulthood. The way in which he does it, if anyone who was around didn't know and understand what he was doing, they would just think that it was a joke that they didn't quite get.

In fact your kids are probably hiding a lot aswell for example your daughter probably has a boyfriend that she hasn’t mentioned. The behaviour of the children and the town is selfish and hypocritical as they all do their own things without telling everyone. Also losing them is the best thing for you now. Because you have a valid reason to reject them when they need help. If they come back and try to reconcile fine you can do that but if they then ask for money or support of some kind you can reject them and say something like “You turned both yourself my daughter and the whole town against me then you have the audacity of coming back for money. You cut it Accra to our family and our granddaughter. You do not have reason why we should give you anything and we won’t. You actions were hypocritical and when we needed help you ran away but when you need help we have to run in and help no. I never want to see your famil ever again.” Then and with something like “I have no children anymore you took them away from me”

story 3 Mother kind of had what was coming to her. She was a jerk to keep bringing it up. She should have learned to stop obsessing over having a kid and controlling what would go on in the house if they did have a kid. To be honest I don't feel bad for the dinner being ruined cause she did this to herself. I would most certainly not take the deal and cut all ties with her.
I would sit the Bf down and tell him in very blunt and direct way to stop saying the phrase as it has worn out it’s welcome, if he does not stop or thinks your joking, then you have to set up an intervention with others or even tell him if he continues it could lead to a break up, because he is ignoring a very simple request and not taking your feelings into account at how this has become an annoying habit instead of an endearing joke, be direct and forward with him

The Second story kinda sounds like my dad. I don’t usually talk to him a whole bunch but whenever he talks to me it’s usually One liner jokes (or dad jokes) and often that’s just what he talks to me about.
I’ve since tuned out all that and kinda role my eyes, my mom says I do tell jokes like my dad but I think I do it less often than my dad and usually have lighthearted conversations and such.
