    The best GI275 review I have seen, bar none, thanks for that. Also liked how you maintained a good lookout and had your selfie cam mounted below the windscreen so as not to block your view of traffic. Too many people have cameras mounted on their windows. Sometimes more than one!

    Excellent video Marc. Thanks. BTW, love your Glastar.

    I would love to see a sort of showdown/comparison between the 275 and g5 and the opinions of someone with a lot of seat time with both.

    Thanks for the video, Loved getting a peek at your GlaStar. I've owned one for half a year now. Love it and working on making it IFR. I was looking at the G3X but decided I didn't want to feel like I had a TV in my airplane. I'm going with the GPS 175 and deciding what AI/HSI to go with. Contenders are AV-30 (gorgeous but no vertical guidance), G5 (ugly and square). and the 275 (beautiful but expensive). maybe the AV-30 up top, and a G5 for the HSI. Still researching and your review was very helpful.

    I noticed the heading bugs don't sync. The G5 is going one way and the 275 is going another.

      They were not connected so this was expected behavior. But good eye!

    Is the synthetic vision already present or the data comes from the GTN or any on board gps?

    • @KitplanesMagazine
      @KitplanesMagazine  3 года назад

      Position data in this case comes from the GNX 375 but the GI 275 can use its internal GPS as well. The data for the mapping itself is in the GI 275 database.

    Sir can you use the GI275 EIS and MFD for a backup AHARS for the Garmin G3X?

    • @KitplanesMagazine
      @KitplanesMagazine  4 года назад

      Unfortunately, no. Garmin says the GI 275 can share ADAHRS data among 275s but not with other boxes.

      The G5 can act as a backup AHARS to the G3X its to bad that the 275 cannot act as a backup AHARS to the TXI 1060.

      @@johncarr123 Agreed, but it was not part of the intended ecosystem for the GI 275.

    How legible is that GI 275 when used as an Attitude Indicator? It seems like there is an awful lot of data crammed in to a little space.

    • @KitplanesMagazine
      @KitplanesMagazine  2 года назад +1

      It's actually quite good. You do need some time to get used to all the data but once you're past the first few hours, it all starts to make sense.

    Below the triangle, is that the slip?

    • @KitplanesMagazine
      @KitplanesMagazine  3 года назад

      Yes, below the upward-facing triangle at the top center of the display. It acts like the ball. When it slides right, you know to step on the right rudder.
