I once had a really weird dream. I was walking to a bus stop in the middle of the night, on a road in a desert. The only light was from the moon. When I arrived at the bus stop, a nice looking girl was standing next to the bus stop, with her back turned to me.The girl was wearing a ripped up school unifrom, with ripped up jeans coverd in mud and grass stains and sneakers. She looked about 17-years old and had long blonde hair. I decided to ignore her as she was texting on her phone. Then, a strange looking BMW drove by at high speed, vanishing in the distance. While I was looking at the BMW, the girl had put her phone in her pocket and hugged me. I tried to turn around but I got stabbed in the side of my body. I collapsed on the ground, and looked at the girl who was licking my blood off the knife she had just stabbed me with. She had wite glowing eyes. That's when I woke up, sweating like crazy. I never really have nightmares, but this one was one of the weirdest I ever had.

Tonight I had the strangest dream ever. This time traveller guy teleported into our house and duplicated some of our stuff and took it we talked to him loads and then he made my head grow huge (I could feel the weight somehow) then he went and captured us by giving us time machines that he controlled (the time machines where tiny) so we destroyed them which will make everything go back to normal And nobody will remember him but me and my grandma both remembered him and we found this bag full of things it had a medium purple time machine, one of my toys which was on the bed so there was two of them and an old looking PS4 (I don't know how they are old) then my grandma said the time machine belonged to her a long long time ago (the time traveller was a young girl) then we realised... My grandma was the time traveller's future self!!!!!! Then the dream ended

Whenever I lose something important, if I think about it a lot during waking hours, I usually have dreams about where that something is. Like once I lost these index cards that were worth a huge chunk of my grade, so I deliberately thought about them for much of the day. Then that night I had a dream that they'd fallen between my bed and the wall. Checked under my bed the next morning, and there they were! I've used this trick more than once…. sometimes it pays to be a Hufflepuff.
I've had those dreams where I lose teeth. I start spitting them out like watermelon seeds. Makes me check my teeth as soon as I wake up. I have never had the "gone to school naked" dream. I HAVE had "gone to school without my shoes on" dream.
Oh, and I also often dream about being on ice and under me is a massive shark, waiting for the ice to break... Another common dream I had was that there was a big cone headed person sitting on the steps of my old living room and would chase me. But the worst was the monster in the closet. It looked like one of the monsters from "Where the Wild Things Are". ...the book, not the movie, obviously. It got so bad I got my dad to fasten locks on the closet. If the closet was EVER open, I knew it was a nightmare.
I've had the losing teeth dream a lot. Woke up one morning to find my gums had swollen and were bleeding and all my teeth were loose. I shat my pants and went to the dentist. Luckily my teeth are still intact but having your nightmare come true is terrifying.
I had a borderline traumatizing nightmare a few months ago... I was in a light sleep, lying on my left side in bed talking to my roommate about some girl (no details whatsoever were mentioned about this girl). All of a sudden my roommate says "Oh, she's with us right now." And, I turn over from my left side to my back (in my dream and in actuality) to see a black silhouette of a girl with long black hair right on top of me -- had no face, no eyes, no nothin. She looked like some sort of demon. Suddenly she grabbed my throat and started choking me; I couldn't breathe, nor could I wake up. So, I kicked my legs around violently to wake myself up. I felt at loss of breath, and as my eyes opened the demon simply disappeared. The background I was seeing in my dream is what I woke up to. I want some insight please...

Brembi Boy No need really (If it's a nightmare that scares you, why bring it back up with similar scenes in tv). It just reminded me of one scene. It is very specific, and dead on what happened on the tv show. Season 1. Best and scariest of all seasons (That's I've seen). Happens towards the end of the season, and I believe it may be on netflix at the moment. (It was a year or so ago).

When I was in 2nd grade I had a dream about the basement of the apartment building, next day I'm running from my mom (not knowing any better) and finding the exact basement in my dream, which I have never seen before. Then I found out a girl died in that basement for going there, apparently there were people in there with guns or something.

Well I've had several dreams including one main factor, me being unable to Scream for help. You see, when I get that type of dream, I'm usually close to someone I know and it's in Public. But after some moments, something (or someone, because it's a dark man, I mean he's all black, like a shadow) drags and tries to shove me in the "Dark", whenever that happens I scream but my voice just doesn't go up. Only I can hear it and no matter how much I screamed, I'd just be dragged and dragged and when I get pushed right into the "Dark", I wake up. By the "Dark", I mean a dark corner that's always somewhere. It's either strait or under the water.

I had a terrifying dream when I was in third grade, back when I was an active gymnast. It started out with me and my team in the gym, practicing our routines on the floor. The lobby had glass windows so the parents could see what their children were doing. After I had done my routine, I looked to the dance studio door that was connected to the gym to see a man holding an electric chainsaw. He walked in and viciously murdered all of my friends in front of me. My mom was in the lobby and she ran into the gym. She stood in front of me and the man sawed her head in half while she was in the middle of telling me she loved me. I around the gym and hid somewhere, so he went into the lobby and killed everyone in there as well. While he was doing that, I ran to my mom's dead body and unhooked her car keys from her belt loop and tried to think of how I could get to her minivan without him noticing me. There was no other way to exit the building then to go into the lobby and out the door. I hid in the office closest to the door to the lobby and waited for him to come inside and look for me. He went past the office because he already checked there (and I guess he assumed that I didn't move). So I ran out from the office, into the lobby, and out the front door. The catch was that the door into the lobby made a loud click when it closed, so he heard me trying to escape. I eventually ran into the van and opened the passenger car door by mistake and got to the driver's seat that way. I had unintentionally left the door open on the passenger side, so he jumped in. I had already started the car by that time, but I didn't figure out how to shift into drive. At this point, I had grabbed a DS game case and started hitting myself. This was the moment when I started to hear my thoughts telling me to wake up. (I know now that I was lucid dreaming at this point, but I didn't know that existed at the time.) The man somehow missed the main part of my body and sawed of the hand that was holding the game case. I was screaming, but no blood was going anywhere. I started kicking him in the face and eventually got the car in drive while he was covering his face and drove onto the road (which is the way to an industrial airport). I began swerving back and forth to try and fling him out of the car. Eventually, he slipped and was hanging onto the door by the inside. I then reached over and slammed the door shut, while retaining control of the vehicle somehow, and almost crashed while pulling off the road. The man was stunned and laying on the road in pain. I watched as an 18-wheeler came by and ran him over, killing him. Then, I woke up. The day of my nightmare, my older brother and my mom went to the store while I was still at school. When I got home, he excitedly told me he had bought something with his own money! He ran to go get his new item. A toy chainsaw.
A recent one depicted me in my orchestra class. I play the cello. The cello has a part of it called an end pin which extends to fit the musician's height. The cellos at my school don't have the rubber at the end of the end pin to help it not scoot around on the floor without a stopper. My friend was adjusting his end pin while I was tying my shoe and he dropped his cello onto me and the end pin stabbed through my chest. I walked up to my teacher, but he was talking to another student about something irrelevant. I kept trying to get his attention but he kept telling me to hold on while I was slowly losing consciousness. I eventually collapsed on the floor due to blood loss and he finally noticed. The ambulance was called in, and they tried to take in the stretcher through the door that goes outside, but it didn't fit through. They came in and picked me up onto the stretcher. While they were wheeling me to the ambulance, I passed out and eventually died. Yeah, orchestra was slightly stressful the next day due to the constant unsettling feeling I had.
My teacher told my class one of his dreams, he was running through the jungle and some people in a jeep were shooting at him, he got shot six times in the butt. He woke up and it turned out he had been stung six times by a scorpion. He is still alive to this day!

I once had this dream, where after school my friends(only 5 boys in the dream, but other kids in the background) grabbed their backpacks and after i jumped the 2 foot fence, they ran over, and all of them piled their backpacks into my arms and ran off to play Infected(type of tag they invented)without me. As they were running off, everything turned gray and sad. Fast forward the dream, they were walking home(Im their neighbor)and I had fo carry all of their backpacks, and thats where the dream ended. Whats worse is one of the boys was someone who wouldn't treat ANYBODY like a servent. It turned out to be a nightmare, and I woke up with my backpack clenched in my hands. It was the sadest thing thats ever happened to me. I also woke up at 1 in the morning, so I cried myself to sleep to then wake up to my alarm at 7(in the morning). I hadn't told anyone about the nightmare besides the people that read this.
wow those are common? as a kid i only had the "being chased nightmare" but none of the others. with the exception of falling, that one is a real common thingy, had it thousands of times ^^
But I once saw a TV show and it had a story that her granddad died and he was chasing her and she couldn't see him at first then after she kept getting the dream she saw him.
I had a dream where I was walking through this super futuristic city. And everyone was so uniform. But then I heard this errrr errr errr kinda thing. Everyone was screaming and they yelled "Cyber Atack" and a robot started shooting everybody. +Bob Builder, I always wonder if that's how things will go down when we die for real. The instant of death will not feel like anything, but we'll snap instantly to something else, whether it be the blackness of nothing or whatever one's beliefs may have them think if they turn out to be accurate.

Bob Builder I personally believe we'll just completely cease to exist. It's not too hard to fathom when you come to accept that before we were born we didn't exist. We have absolutely no recollection of anything before ourselves beyond that which is documented for us to read about in schools or in churches. It's very hard to think about having absolutely no form in which we exist, but we've done it before and I believe that's what will happen again. The end of time will just be a blip, like falling asleep and waking up the next day immediately.
I had a dream/nightmare like that once. It started with me and some other guys with gas masks and biohazard suits, and we were in a room with a blown up car( just the frame of it) a square pilar in the middle of the tiny room with about 4 people in it... later i remember me giving a speech to a crowd as if we had solved the zombie apocalipse
When I was about 5ish, I used to have this recurring dream about this man that took me away from my mom. I would try to scream but nothing would come out. I'd be frozen in place, screaming silently in a white space.
Me too. Ill always trip or stumble. And if i try to throw a punch, which usually only happens in nightmarish dreams if im trying to evade something and can't, because i can't never run... my arm always seems to move slowly and make contact like limp spaghetti. People also talk about being able to fly. For me thats been a lifelong process. I was never able to fly in dreams as a kid. Years ago i started having dreams where i could kind of levitate a few feet off the ground and drift like a jellyfish, progressing to being able to jump high and slow as if i was on the moon, but only recently have i been able to actually fly with coordination and some speed, and im 31 years old. It's bizarre. Why did i feel a need to ramble all this to a stranger ill never meet? I don't know. It's late, and i'm fascinated by dreams. Thank you for reading 😀
In that fictional scenario, all of science would've been broken and we wouldn't have anything that we could call "reality", and for whatever reason, this thing that's not reality would suddenly form our reality with predictable phenomenon and rules. Also, third person dreams are a thing.

Yes! It's kind of the same as running, but you can only go really slowly. Apparently it's to do with your subconscious knowing you are asleep, thus immobilised, and unable to move. It's a conflict between what your dream wants you to do and what you know you are able to do.

Also, Danger's WRONG. Drowning is actually a quick and peaceful way to die. There's a few moments of panic, than, peace. And the cllder the water the better. In coldwater drownings, the survival rate is much higher. Rule of thumb. They're not dead until they're WARM and dead. . Also, drowning doesn't necessarily mean dying. You can technically drown, but be resuscitated. . Sadly, I watched an 8 yo boy drown when I was 18. He was saving his 6 yo sister's life, which he did. He died for her. His father's grief was almost too sad to bear. This was in a smallish lake in WA. Mom and Dad were just over a small knoll. Probably never forgave themselves. Hmm, he'd be 42 now. I pray his sister has no memory of it.

one time i had this weird dream, that was scary but slightly enjoyable at the same time. so, i was in a helicopter taking pictures. i was leaning out with my camera and then i fell out of the helicopter onto the ground below. then, i was laying on the ground, dying, surrounded by my friends and this one kid who i had a crush on (who i suspect in real life also had a crush on me). there was a random guy standing outside the circle of friends, and he said "it's too late, we can't save her," and the kid who i had a crush on started crying and saying how he had this huge crush on me and was too shy to tell me and then the next thing i knew, we were walking together and holding hands.
I had a nightmare a few nights ago: I can't remember much about it, but it was a big deal for me because I can't usually remember my nightmares or dreams. But I remembered a small part of this one. It was like I had just woken up, but I was still in a dream. Except it wasn't very normal. When I 'woke up' I felt breathing in my face, and when I opened my eyes a figure was leaning over me. Except it was all blurry except for it eyes, which were popping out of it's face. When I woke up for real I was upright and gasping for air. I don't really understand it. It was like a more than one awakening dream, except with a 'monster' of some sort that was taking my breath. I looked everywhere for answers of it, but it seems like a mix of 3 nightmare types. I haven't had it since, or I at least can't remember it. I was searching for answers on how and why dreams and nightmares occur, and why it is hard to remember usually.
When I was a kid I used to have the same type of dream every night where I would be in a normal situation and then I wouldn't be able to move/speak and everyone would ignore me, scary shit I hated it

Am I the only one who occasionally gets bad dreams of Chucky hunting me down? In two dreams, I dreamed of escaping through the door in the bathroom downstairs which leads to to the porch. Then I ran far and away. In one of those, I had to sneak back to get my money, whilst he was looking for me. He went up a random elevator so I jumped down the stairs and fleed. I also had a dream there were two of him in his original doll state, and I locked them in the garage, in a bag. Anyways, I don't get why I have these dreams if I haven't even thought of Chucky and I'm not even scared of the movies cuz I grew up with them. The only one that scared me was the first(cuz I was younger).
Not to be that guy but it means nothing. If u would be scared of being chased by a monster in real life then fear will manifest itself in your dreams. It means your scared of being chased by that monster lol yea DD went overboard on this one

This is one of the dreams that kept returning. One other dream was: I was in a car, with my family, going to some place whatever and all the sudden everyone was gone. Like: "Poef aaaaaand it's gone". I then had to manage taking over the wheel to not crash horifically. But somehow I always drive at the same place, same time of day, same seat and same people. :S

I used to have a recurring dream when I was a lot younger (around 5 years old), basically the dream would be my parents throwing me down the stairs, the weird thing was that it was in slow motion, and It wasn’t from my perspective, it was a third person view, or me seeing through someone else’s eyes from the side of the stairs, just watching myself floating down the stairs in slow motion. I have a completely normal, happy, and healthy relationship with my parents so there would’ve been no reason I would think my parents would want to do that to me haha.
Ok so how about this; I'm 14 and I recently had probably the most real dream I've ever had. in the dream I was standing in front of a mirror above a sink in the bathroom. I looked down into the sink, and when I looked back in the mirror there was blood pouring out of my mouth and all into the sink. I slowly walked to the she of the stairs, blood in lumps and streams getting all over my shirt and hands, and tried calling for my mom, but only disturbing gurgling sounds came out. I kept calling to no use, I was slowly dying and she never heard me or came to help. I had never felt more alone. I woke up screaming for her. I've had dreams like this my entire life, where I will call for people but they won't hear me or nothing will come out. Once when I was little I had a dream I was being attacked by an animal, and my mom was standing right in front of me talking to her friends and I called for her but she looked at me, then kept talking and ignoring me. What do these dreams mean?

OMG I had those dreams from when I was about 6-12/13 years and I had the same thing it felt so real and I remember calling for my mum but when I screamed just a very quit squeak came out

I had a nightmare where I was in a town, and all of a sudden, everything turned pitch white (including the sky and ground) with black outlines, and a few monsters wandering around. The worst part is, I was the only one who knew it happened. ...And since my biggest fear is isolation, it sure as hell scared the shit out of me.
I've had dreams where I was sleeping over with a friend, in a unkown house. And there was a murderer-monster-thing, and it crawled to my friends bed. And I couldnt speak. I would turn my head to my friends bed, and I would see my friend get brutally murdered, ripped apart, choked, and all that kind of things. The first time I had a dream like that, I was 7, I was so traumatized.

I had the weirdest dream ever. I was at school and so I walk into gym and everyone in my school was doing Whip Nae Nae, NAKED. Then the roof of the school came off and the sun was doing the Whip/nae nae too! Then the sun came closer and ate me, and I woke up with my brothers doing the Whip/Nae Nae in the hallway in their underwear.

I has this weird dream, in this dream I had a little brother (which is weird because I don't have any little siblings only an older one.) and he was magic and emortal which are things I've always wanted to be since I was little, (don't judge me.) and are things I still wish I could be today even though I too old for that, and this kid was about 5 but he was better than me and every way and was really mean. Now another thing in the dream, (this dream was all over the place.) was I have these butterfly lights and in the dream you could make wishes on them, and if you made a wish on them they would burn out, and I could remember thinking I was gonna wish I was the kid born with magic. Then I woke up and went back to sleep, in the next dream I woke up in my bed and went to talk to my mom and I said, "Mom I had this dream where I had a little brother." Then she said, "That wasn't a dream." Then I started to cry in the dream, then I woke up. I feel like this means something, anyone have an idea?
i used to fall in my dreams ALOT as a toddler, but i was a toddler, so why would ii feel any of those things? i cant even comprehend those problems at age 3-4. oh well.
These nightmares is pretty scary and it all happened to me. Really happened to me. 1. There was this scene where i got a fictional girlfriend and we kind if had a lovely life. However one day she was admitted to the hospital after being attacked by an unknown diseased that attacked her heart, what they only said was her aorta expanded 2 times larger than her heart. I went to find ways to save her and then a doctor said the only way to save her is massive surgery and we went to find a donor for blood transfusion. One day a doctor anxiously reported to us that she WILL DIE within 3 hours if we didnt find us a donor. We tried to find a donor but no one wanted this. We tried until we found a trustworthy guy who accepts the offer. We immediately head to the hospital but we were too late. Within 2 minutes after we got him she flatlined... 2. One time me and my cousin were walking in a desert, we were finding rock samples by the meantime when we found a small base. We asked the guards if we could stay to take a break and they accepted it. Until then everything was going well until something weird happened. A black hole (a space-related phenomenon) suddenly appeared out of nowhere and sucked us all in. We found a tree and we both held as tight as possible. It was a life and death scenario but we both got sucked in. I screamed but no one came to help us all... We chose death... 3. This nightmare happened to me 2 times and until now im pretty scared until now. So i was in my house asleep. I woke up at 5 just in time for usual school preparing until i looked out the window and saw a wave of people in the road. Crying babies, People bringing bags, i was so confused. Thats when someone said to me that the whole world is being attacked by unknown entities that can kill people. I was confused, i insisted that i didn't believe in ghosts but a voice said ILL KILL YOU IF YOU SAY THAT AGAIN BRAT! Then things changed, everyone started to go crazy. A voice said WALK. I said i never believe in ghosts since i was all blown scared shitless but the voice said MOVE ASSHOLE!!!!!!!!! I moved directly, fearing for my life. I saw a road with a river directiy under it, inside small guardhouses were determined guards. When we passed through them, something instantly got them to die. I was pretty scared about it so i continued walking. The nightmare ended when we reached a church.

I had a dream where I had handcuffs on my hands and feet and a bomb was seconds from blowing up next to me. It was awful, but then I started lucid dreaming, and I broke free and destroyed the bomb. Then I could fly and fart rainbows and jump really high! It was awesome :D

I think the explanation is entirely physical. Your body paralyzes itself when you dream. This is to protect you from actually walking around and physically interacting with your dreams as if they were real. Sometimes you are able to sense that paralysis, and that awareness spills over into the dream. It can be frightening, but I don't think there is any deep, hidden subconscious meaning. Some part of your mind just became aware that your body can't move. Inability to talk or scream in a dream is the same thing.

The weirdest dream I had was when I at some chocolate dipped cheese sticks, I dreamed that I had gone to GameStop and there was a long line and I wanted to get my game and was mad that I had to wait, all of a sudden I hear the siren from the Water tower thing and I hear the speaker saying," It is now time to commence the cleansing." So people started killing each other in varies ways and suddenly I was about to be struck by a man in a lama suit with his briefcase when all of a sudden a man in a whale outfit smacked the lama guy in the back of the head with a fire extinguisher, then they stared intently at each other; lama dude opens his briefcase and whale guy opened the fire extinguisher and then they started to duel using Yu-Gi-Oh cards only to be beheaded by a guy in a Pikachu outfit that ended up getting shot by in a guy in a Digimon outfit and rand over by a guy screaming "I'm going Super Saiyin" whom crashed into the GamStop killing various amounts of people and then the speaker said," The cleansing is done" and then everyone stopped killing each other and started hugging. Apparently the key to living was to just stand and do nothing said a guy in a hot dog suit shaking hands with a giant milkshake, a not guy in a milkshake outfit but a milkshake, and thus I proceeded to go into GameStop and purchase my game. I did it autonomously so I didn't even know what game I had bought and risked my life for, so I opened the bag and I woke up; the game I had gone out to get was Hatsu Miko for the PS Vita, the truly scary part was seeing that game with a receipt. Everything else was cool but I got scared enough to wake up after seeing that game in the bag. Edit: Spelling.

I once had a really weird dream. I was walking to a bus stop in the middle of the night, on a road in a desert. The only light was from the moon. When I arrived at the bus stop, a nice looking girl was standing next to the bus stop, with her back turned to me.The girl was wearing a ripped up school unifrom, with ripped up jeans coverd in mud and grass stains and sneakers. She looked about 17-years old and had long blonde hair. I decided to ignore her as she was texting on her phone. Then, a strange looking BMW drove by at high speed, vanishing in the distance. While I was looking at the BMW, the girl had put her phone in her pocket and hugged me. I tried to turn around but I got stabbed in the side of my body. I collapsed on the ground, and looked at the girl who was licking my blood off the knife she had just stabbed me with. She had wite glowing eyes.
That's when I woke up, sweating like crazy. I never really have nightmares, but this one was one of the weirdest I ever had.

This time traveller guy teleported into our house and duplicated some of our stuff and took it we talked to him loads and then he made my head grow huge (I could feel the weight somehow) then he went and captured us by giving us time machines that he controlled (the time machines where tiny) so we destroyed them which will make everything go back to normal And nobody will remember him but me and my grandma both remembered him and we found this bag full of things it had a medium purple time machine, one of my toys which was on the bed so there was two of them and an old looking PS4 (I don't know how they are old) then my grandma said the time machine belonged to her a long long time ago (the time traveller was a young girl) then we realised... My grandma was the time traveller's future self!!!!!! Then the dream ended

Whenever I lose something important, if I think about it a lot during waking hours, I usually have dreams about where that something is. Like once I lost these index cards that were worth a huge chunk of my grade, so I deliberately thought about them for much of the day. Then that night I had a dream that they'd fallen between my bed and the wall. Checked under my bed the next morning, and there they were!

Another common dream I had was that there was a big cone headed person sitting on the steps of my old living room and would chase me. But the worst was the monster in the closet. It looked like one of the monsters from "Where the Wild Things Are". ...the book, not the movie, obviously. It got so bad I got my dad to fasten locks on the closet. If the closet was EVER open, I knew it was a nightmare.
I've had the losing teeth dream a lot. Woke up one morning to find my gums had swollen and were bleeding and all my teeth were loose. I shat my pants and went to the dentist. Luckily my teeth are still intact but having your nightmare come true is terrifying.

I had a borderline traumatizing nightmare a few months ago... I was in a light sleep, lying on my left side in bed talking to my roommate about some girl (no details whatsoever were mentioned about this girl). All of a sudden my roommate says "Oh, she's with us right now." And, I turn over from my left side to my back (in my dream and in actuality) to see a black silhouette of a girl with long black hair right on top of me -- had no face, no eyes, no nothin. She looked like some sort of demon. Suddenly she grabbed my throat and started choking me; I couldn't breathe, nor could I wake up. So, I kicked my legs around violently to wake myself up. I felt at loss of breath, and as my eyes opened the demon simply disappeared. The background I was seeing in my dream is what I woke up to. I want some insight please...

No need really (If it's a nightmare that scares you, why bring it back up with similar scenes in tv). It just reminded me of one scene. It is very specific, and dead on what happened on the tv show. Season 1. Best and scariest of all seasons (That's I've seen). Happens towards the end of the season, and I believe it may be on netflix at the moment. (It was a year or so ago).

I once had a dream of falling from the very tip of a mountain. I soon found out it wasn't from my mind telling me I was going to lose my career or somehow suddenly lose popularity. Well I've had several dreams including one main factor, me being unable to Scream for help.
You see, when I get that type of dream, I'm usually close to someone I know and it's in Public. But after some moments, something (or someone, because it's a dark man, I mean he's all black, like a shadow) drags and tries to shove me in the "Dark", whenever that happens I scream but my voice just doesn't go up. Only I can hear it and no matter how much I screamed, I'd just be dragged and dragged and when I get pushed right into the "Dark", I wake up.
By the "Dark", I mean a dark corner that's always somewhere. It's either strait or under the water.

I had a terrifying dream when I was in third grade, back when I was an active gymnast. It started out with me and my team in the gym, practicing our routines on the floor. The lobby had glass windows so the parents could see what their children were doing. After I had done my routine, I looked to the dance studio door that was connected to the gym to see a man holding an electric chainsaw. He walked in and viciously murdered all of my friends in front of me. My mom was in the lobby and she ran into the gym. She stood in front of me and the man sawed her head in half while she was in the middle of telling me she loved me. I around the gym and hid somewhere, so he went into the lobby and killed everyone in there as well. While he was doing that, I ran to my mom's dead body and unhooked her car keys from her belt loop and tried to think of how I could get to her minivan without him noticing me. There was no other way to exit the building then to go into the lobby and out the door. I hid in the office closest to the door to the lobby and waited for him to come inside and look for me. He went past the office because he already checked there (and I guess he assumed that I didn't move). So I ran out from the office, into the lobby, and out the front door. The catch was that the door into the lobby made a loud click when it closed, so he heard me trying to escape. I eventually ran into the van and opened the passenger car door by mistake and got to the driver's seat that way. I had unintentionally left the door open on the passenger side, so he jumped in. I had already started the car by that time, but I didn't figure out how to shift into drive. At this point, I had grabbed a DS game case and started hitting myself. This was the moment when I started to hear my thoughts telling me to wake up. (I know now that I was lucid dreaming at this point, but I didn't know that existed at the time.) The man somehow missed the main part of my body and sawed of the hand that was holding the game case. I was screaming, but no blood was going anywhere. I started kicking him in the face and eventually got the car in drive while he was covering his face and drove onto the road (which is the way to an industrial airport). I began swerving back and forth to try and fling him out of the car. Eventually, he slipped and was hanging onto the door by the inside. I then reached over and slammed the door shut, while retaining control of the vehicle somehow, and almost crashed while pulling off the road. The man was stunned and laying on the road in pain. I watched as an 18-wheeler came by and ran him over, killing him. Then, I woke up.
The day of my nightmare, my older brother and my mom went to the store while I was still at school. When I got home, he excitedly told me he had bought something with his own money! He ran to go get his new item.
A toy chainsaw.
A recent one depicted me in my orchestra class. I play the cello. The cello has a part of it called an end pin which extends to fit the musician's height. The cellos at my school don't have the rubber at the end of the end pin to help it not scoot around on the floor without a stopper. My friend was adjusting his end pin while I was tying my shoe and he dropped his cello onto me and the end pin stabbed through my chest. I walked up to my teacher, but he was talking to another student about something irrelevant. I kept trying to get his attention but he kept telling me to hold on while I was slowly losing consciousness. I eventually collapsed on the floor due to blood loss and he finally noticed. The ambulance was called in, and they tried to take in the stretcher through the door that goes outside, but it didn't fit through. They came in and picked me up onto the stretcher. While they were wheeling me to the ambulance, I passed out and eventually died. Yeah, orchestra was slightly stressful the next day due to the constant unsettling feeling I had.
So this probably means that you are a very violent person and need to stop playing so much COD. I think. Don't quote me on that.

My teacher told my class one of his dreams, he was running through the jungle and some people in a jeep were shooting at him, he got shot six times in the butt. He woke up and it turned out he had been stung six times by a scorpion. He is still alive to this day!

I once had this dream, where after school my friends(only 5 boys in the dream, but other kids in the background) grabbed their backpacks and after i jumped the 2 foot fence, they ran over, and all of them piled their backpacks into my arms and ran off to play Infected(type of tag they invented)without me. As they were running off, everything turned gray and sad. Fast forward the dream, they were walking home(Im their neighbor)and I had fo carry all of their backpacks, and thats where the dream ended. Whats worse is one of the boys was someone who wouldn't treat ANYBODY like a servent. It turned out to be a nightmare, and I woke up with my backpack clenched in my hands. It was the sadest thing thats ever happened to me. I also woke up at 1 in the morning, so I cried myself to sleep to then wake up to my alarm at 7(in the morning). I hadn't told anyone about the nightmare besides the people that read this.

I had a dream where I was walking through this super futuristic city. And everyone was so uniform. But then I heard this errrr errr errr kinda thing. Everyone was screaming and they yelled "Cyber Atack" and a robot started shooting everybody. This sound kept going and eventually I turned into a super hero and flew up and punched it really hard it fell down. I saw a button pressed it and I woke up. That sound was my alarm going off... for 20 minutes straight

Bob Builder I personally believe we'll just completely cease to exist. It's not too hard to fathom when you come to accept that before we were born we didn't exist. We have absolutely no recollection of anything before ourselves beyond that which is documented for us to read about in schools or in churches. It's very hard to think about having absolutely no form in which we exist, but we've done it before and I believe that's what will happen again. The end of time will just be a blip, like falling asleep and waking up the next day immediately.

Me too. Ill always trip or stumble. And if i try to throw a punch, which usually only happens in nightmarish dreams if im trying to evade something and can't, because i can't never run... my arm always seems to move slowly and make contact like limp spaghetti. People also talk about being able to fly. For me thats been a lifelong process. I was never able to fly in dreams as a kid. Years ago i started having dreams where i could kind of levitate a few feet off the ground and drift like a jellyfish, progressing to being able to jump high and slow as if i was on the moon, but only recently have i been able to actually fly with coordination and some speed, and im 31 years old. It's bizarre.
Why did i feel a need to ramble all this to a stranger ill never meet? I don't know. It's late, and i'm fascinated by dreams. Thank you for reading 😀

Yes! It's kind of the same as running, but you can only go really slowly. Apparently it's to do with your subconscious knowing you are asleep, thus immobilised, and unable to move. It's a conflict between what your dream wants you to do and what you know you are able to do.

Also, Danger's WRONG. Drowning is actually a quick and peaceful way to die. There's a few moments of panic, than, peace. And the cllder the water the better. In coldwater drownings, the survival rate is much higher. Rule of thumb. They're not dead until they're WARM and dead.

Sadly, I watched an 8 yo boy drown when I was 18. He was saving his 6 yo sister's life, which he did. He died for her. His father's grief was almost too sad to bear. This was in a smallish lake in WA. Mom and Dad were just over a small knoll. Probably never forgave themselves. Hmm, he'd be 42 now. I pray his sister has no memory of it.

one time i had this weird dream, that was scary but slightly enjoyable at the same time.
so, i was in a helicopter taking pictures. i was leaning out with my camera and then i fell out of the helicopter onto the ground below. then, i was laying on the ground, dying, surrounded by my friends and this one kid who i had a crush on (who i suspect in real life also had a crush on me). there was a random guy standing outside the circle of friends, and he said "it's too late, we can't save her," and the kid who i had a crush on started crying and saying how he had this huge crush on me and was too shy to tell me and then the next thing i knew, we were walking together and holding hands.

I had a nightmare a few nights ago: I can't remember much about it, but it was a big deal for me because I can't usually remember my nightmares or dreams. But I remembered a small part of this one. It was like I had just woken up, but I was still in a dream. Except it wasn't very normal. When I 'woke up' I felt breathing in my face, and when I opened my eyes a figure was leaning over me. Except it was all blurry except for it eyes, which were popping out of it's face. When I woke up for real I was upright and gasping for air. I don't really understand it. It was like a more than one awakening dream, except with a 'monster' of some sort that was taking my breath. I looked everywhere for answers of it, but it seems like a mix of 3 nightmare types. I haven't had it since, or I at least can't remember it. I was searching for answers on how and why dreams and nightmares occur, and why it is hard to remember usually.
When I was a kid I used to have the same type of dream every night where I would be in a normal situation and then I wouldn't be able to move/speak and everyone would ignore me, scary shit I hated it

Am I the only one who occasionally gets bad dreams of Chucky hunting me down? In two dreams, I dreamed of escaping through the door in the bathroom downstairs which leads to to the porch. Then I ran far and away. In one of those, I had to sneak back to get my money, whilst he was looking for me. He went up a random elevator so I jumped down the stairs and fleed. I also had a dream there were two of him in his original doll state, and I locked them in the garage, in a bag. Anyways, I don't get why I have these dreams if I haven't even thought of Chucky and I'm not even scared of the movies cuz I grew up with them. The only one that scared me was the first(cuz I was younger).

This is one of the dreams that kept returning. One other dream was: I was in a car, with my family, going to some place whatever and all the sudden everyone was gone. Like: "Poef aaaaaand it's gone". I then had to manage taking over the wheel to not crash horifically. But somehow I always drive at the same place, same time of day, same seat and same people. :S

I used to have a recurring dream when I was a lot younger (around 5 years old), basically the dream would be my parents throwing me down the stairs, the weird thing was that it was in slow motion, and It wasn’t from my perspective, it was a third person view, or me seeing through someone else’s eyes from the side of the stairs, just watching myself floating down the stairs in slow motion. I have a completely normal, happy, and healthy relationship with my parents so there would’ve been no reason I would think my parents would want to do that to me haha.

Ok so how about this; I'm 14 and I recently had probably the most real dream I've ever had. in the dream I was standing in front of a mirror above a sink in the bathroom. I looked down into the sink, and when I looked back in the mirror there was blood pouring out of my mouth and all into the sink. I slowly walked to the she of the stairs, blood in lumps and streams getting all over my shirt and hands, and tried calling for my mom, but only disturbing gurgling sounds came out. I kept calling to no use, I was slowly dying and she never heard me or came to help. I had never felt more alone. I woke up screaming for her. I've had dreams like this my entire life, where I will call for people but they won't hear me or nothing will come out. Once when I was little I had a dream I was being attacked by an animal, and my mom was standing right in front of me talking to her friends and I called for her but she looked at me, then kept talking and ignoring me. What do these dreams mean?

I've had dreams where I was sleeping over with a friend, in a unkown house. And there was a murderer-monster-thing, and it crawled to my friends bed. And I couldnt speak. I would turn my head to my friends bed, and I would see my friend get brutally murdered, ripped apart, choked, and all that kind of things. The first time I had a dream like that, I was 7, I was so traumatized.
And when it stopped killing my friend, it would crawl to me. And my dream would end as soon as it layed it's hands on me.

I had the weirdest dream ever. I was at school and so I walk into gym and everyone in my school was doing Whip Nae Nae, NAKED. Then the roof of the school came off and the sun was doing the Whip/nae nae too! I has this weird dream, in this dream I had a little brother (which is weird because I don't have any little siblings only an older one.) and he was magic and emortal which are things I've always wanted to be since I was little, (don't judge me.) and are things I still wish I could be today even though I too old for that, and this kid was about 5 but he was better than me and every way and was really mean. Now another thing in the dream, (this dream was all over the place.) was I have these butterfly lights and in the dream you could make wishes on them, and if you made a wish on them they would burn out, and I could remember thinking I was gonna wish I was the kid born with magic.
Then I woke up and went back to sleep, in the next dream I woke up in my bed and went to talk to my mom and I said, "Mom I had this dream where I had a little brother." i used to fall in my dreams ALOT as a toddler, but i was a toddler, so why would ii feel any of those things? i cant even comprehend those problems at age 3-4. oh well.

These nightmares is pretty scary and it all happened to me. Really happened to me.
1. There was this scene where i got a fictional girlfriend and we kind if had a lovely life. However one day she was admitted to the hospital after being attacked by an unknown diseased that attacked her heart, what they only said was her aorta expanded 2 times larger than her heart. I went to find ways to save her and then a doctor said the only way to save her is massive surgery and we went to find a donor for blood transfusion. One day a doctor anxiously reported to us that she WILL DIE within 3 hours if we didnt find us a donor. We tried to find a donor but no one wanted this. We tried until we found a trustworthy guy who accepts the offer. We immediately head to the hospital but we were too late. Within 2 minutes after we got him she flatlined...
2. One time me and my cousin were walking in a desert, we were finding rock samples by the meantime when we found a small base. We asked the guards if we could stay to take a break and they accepted it. Until then everything was going well until something weird happened. A black hole (a space-related phenomenon) suddenly appeared out of nowhere and sucked us all in. We found a tree and we both held as tight as possible. It was a life and death scenario but we both got sucked in. I screamed but no one came to help us all... We chose death...
3. This nightmare happened to me 2 times and until now im pretty scared until now. So i was in my house asleep. I woke up at 5 just in time for usual school preparing until i looked out the window and saw a wave of people in the road. Crying babies, People bringing bags, i was so confused. Thats when someone said to me that the whole world is being attacked by unknown entities that can kill people. I was confused, i insisted that i didn't believe in ghosts but a voice said ILL KILL YOU IF YOU SAY THAT AGAIN BRAT! Then things changed, everyone started to go crazy. A voice said WALK. I said i never believe in ghosts since i was all blown scared shitless but the voice said MOVE ASSHOLE!!!!!!!!! I moved directly, fearing for my life. I saw a road with a river directiy under it, inside small guardhouses were determined guards. When we passed through them, something instantly got them to die. I was pretty scared about it so i continued walking. The nightmare ended when we reached a church.
When I was 3 or 4 I had a nightmare that the seven dwarfs were throwing poop at me. What could that have symbolized?

I had a dream where I had handcuffs on my hands and feet and a bomb was seconds from blowing up next to me. It was awful, but then I started lucid dreaming, and I broke free and destroyed the bomb. Then I could fly and fart rainbows and jump really high! It was awesome :D
+jenna phull I had a weird nightmare when I was 8 or 9. So I was playing Super Mario 64 DS (I was a big Mario fan then) and instead of Mario, it was Spongebob and Squidward. Suddenly, they were in the Krusty Krab kitchen in their normal cartoon style. There were zombie versions of them. Fortunately, Spongebob and Squidward defeated the zombie versions of themselves with... ALMONDS.

I have a story.
One day I met a new friend named John. The night before I had had a dream about meeting him. A few weeks into our relationship I took him to my house too meet my family. When he knocked on the door though, my mum opened it up and hugged me. I told her that my friend John was here to but she looked at me puzzled. “You’re the only one here.” She had said. Now every night before bed she forces me to take my anxiety pill and a pre-schizophrenia pill.
I think I should turn the experience into a creepy pasta.... :/

I think the explanation is entirely physical. Your body paralyzes itself when you dream. This is to protect you from actually walking around and physically interacting with your dreams as if they were real. Sometimes you are able to sense that paralysis, and that awareness spills over into the dream. It can be frightening, but I don't think there is any deep, hidden subconscious meaning. Some part of your mind just became aware that your body can't move. Inability to talk or scream in a dream is the same thing.
i once had that i was chasing a stranger in the middle of the night then my legs started stop, i layed on the street and then a car ran over me then i woke up very scared

The weirdest dream I had was when I at some chocolate dipped cheese sticks, I dreamed that I had gone to GameStop and there was a long line and I wanted to get my game and was mad that I had to wait, all of a sudden I hear the siren from the Water tower thing and I hear the speaker saying," It is now time to commence the cleansing." So people started killing each other in varies ways and suddenly I was about to be struck by a man in a lama suit with his briefcase when all of a sudden a man in a whale outfit smacked the lama guy in the back of the head with a fire extinguisher, then they stared intently at each other; lama dude opens his briefcase and whale guy opened the fire extinguisher and then they started to duel using Yu-Gi-Oh cards only to be beheaded by a guy in a Pikachu outfit that ended up getting shot by in a guy in a Digimon outfit and rand over by a guy screaming "I'm going Super Saiyin" whom crashed into the GamStop killing various amounts of people and then the speaker said," The cleansing is done" and then everyone stopped killing each other and started hugging. Apparently the key to living was to just stand and do nothing said a guy in a hot dog suit shaking hands with a giant milkshake, a not guy in a milkshake outfit but a milkshake, and thus I proceeded to go into GameStop and purchase my game. I did it autonomously so I didn't even know what game I had bought and risked my life for, so I opened the bag and I woke up; the game I had gone out to get was Hatsu Miko for the PS Vita, the truly scary part was seeing that game with a receipt. Everything else was cool but I got scared enough to wake up after seeing that game in the bag.

Darth Sibistine They say that if you drink half a glass of water before you sleep and drinking half a glass after you wake it helps in remembering your dreams, pretty much I do this and it seems to work sometimes I just and see it play over and over some times :D

So.. I had a realization while watching this.. when I was little I had an apocalyptic dream, where an atomic bomb struck nearby and we were walking a known street...
I always thought this was just a dream I had cause I was super into a game called 60 seconds... But.. now as someone with depression and anxiety this hits me with a dark realization that it was a warning of future problems..
