Hi Dane, I would like to thank you for all your videos. I just passed my test on Tuesday 🎉 by watching all your videos they were really helpful. Now I forward your videos to my friends too and I am sure they will pass as well because you explain everything very clearly and in details so everyone can understand the rules and the way of driving in Ireland and also can see their mistakes. Thank you again I really appreciate your help indeed☺️
I just passed my driving test today and I just want to thank you Dane because you are the reason I passed!! You’re videos are the best I owe this to you! Keep helping other Learners pass we all appreciate you so much❤
I passed my test today on my second try from Dun Laoghaire and your videos were a huge help! They gave me a lot of confidence and I felt my thoughts were more organized after watching them. I failed my first test because when I was asked to take a left turn, I made the mistake of crossing to the bus lane way before the dotted line began. And it was a grade 3 mistake. The other minor areas I needed to improve was observation while turning to both sides and during the reverse around the kerb and turn about. Thanks to your videos and tips, I really understood how to observe properly, especially the blind spots. Again, thanks a mill Dane. I hope every country gets an online driving tutor as good as you. 😊
I passed my test last Monday (2nd time) with a couple grade 1s and grade 2. The first time I failed was during the summer on one mistake. Just want to thank you for all these videos - this channel was so incredibly helpful and I’m glad It’s finally all over 😅
Thanks for all the videos and recommendation of book Get It. I have my test tomorrow 5th October in Cork but nice to have seen my home county in all your videos
Failed again on my second attempt today. Im pretty let down and frustrated this time round as I genuinely don’t feel like I failed. I got no grade 3s. I got 12 grade 2s, 5 of which were on gears. Only once in the test I fumbled going from gear 2 to gear 3 and quickly recovered. He also said I rode the clutch which I really feel like I didn’t do at all. I’ve never been told that I do that by either instructors. Genuinely put off doing the test again as I feel I’m been looked down on for being a young male.
Don't waste your time wallowing, you need to get a grip on what went wrong and work on it. Maybe the timing of the gears was off, it could be a number of different things. Try take the feedback from the tester as a basis for improvement next time.
i got failed on gears as well, and i have been driving the same type of pickup since i was a kid, i no the gears like the back of my hand, the fella didn't even give me a chance to answer the questions on the little bored, him what's this, me go to answer sto, him next question
You need to understand that just because you perceive that you have done nothing wrong regarding the gears doesn't mean that's the reality. People can lose marks on not going up or down gears at the right time. Just because you have been driving the same vehicle for a while does not mean you are immune to mistakes.
@@DaneTygheletsdrive I suppose I understand I need to improve. But the fact I got no marks on gears in my first test but 5 in the second… doesn’t make sense. I wish I knew what I was doing wrong with the gears. Suppose I’ve to try improve and hope next person is kind.
The fact that you got no marks on gears and 5 on the next test makes perfect sense. Why would it not? You are driving on different roads, meeting different obstructions and you probably had a different tester who has his own interpretations on things. No 2 tests are going to be the same.
I failed my driving test last week in Wilton, Cork. Feedback from the examiner was that 1. in the residential area, where cars are parked on both side of the roads, I didn't mind the gap. 2. that i was driving only at 25kmph speed in the residential area when you had clear space. Can you please help me understand how to position my car in close residential areas where cars are parked on both side of streets?
I failed by 1 point This Monday again although I deive 11,000 km but exam day nervousness also play important role . I am very quick but in exam take extra care which cause 4 grade 2 from left & right. 70% skill 30% luck 🙏☘
The harder you work the luckier you'll be. You have to drive in a normal and confident way, if you drive too slow to put on some act then you will fail and deservedly so.
@@DaneTygheletsdrive When in family first guy give test always in pressure to clear as has to drop kids to school & other works . In Ireland public transportion is worst . My few friends fails 4-5 times but their wife clear in 1st time as they was no tention & pressure to clear exam .
I'm not really sure what you are saying but if you want to be a better driver and pass your driving test then don't worry about the things that you can't control, just concentrate on improving your skills.
HI Dane, what are the pictorial book that you shows in you videos. May you please give names and how to buy it? Thanks for fantastic videos and all the hard works.
I got points on progress in roundabout. The tester said that i stopped at empty roundabouts. Another 1 point bcoz of parked cars. We did meet parked cars 3-4 times and i did stop behind all the time except one where there was enough space for the other vehicle to pass at the same time without stopping but i got 1 point, the only time i didn't stop. It's weird to get that point, especially when I stopped 3 times, except once.
Hi Dane.. my test is in 30 minutes in Tallaght,Dublin. But I had a question.. as the traffic is heavy during these times..so do I have to pull the handbreak in traffic ques..even without red light??
Hi Dane. I went to do my driving test on Saturday. The tester did the walk around and asked me the questions and all that. When he sat into the car he said we couldn’t do the driving part of the test because my insurance disc didn’t have a green strip down the side. How do I go about rebooking it.
Thanks! Question- turning right at a traffic light controlled t-junction- but vehicle in front is partially blocking the right hand lane- is it okay to cross the solid white line onto the on coming lane when safe to do so- otherwise traffic behind gets held up
Hi Dane, just had a question specifically about the roundabout at the start of the naas test route. When taking the last exit (2nd) straight to the town centre should I indicate right or not indicate and indicate after passing the first exit. Thanks
Probably no need to indicate on the approach if going straight but I don't know anything about the Naas routes. You will need to ask a driving instructor in that area.
Hi Dane, I have been watching your video since 1 months. I have a question regarding shoulder check ( blind spot) should check when start from the signal and cross roads? Pls reply Thanks

It's simply foolish to have progress marking that's why most of the people take wrong decision while turning and make them nervous 😡
