His short passes were on the money with defenders all over his receivers. He'd let go of his long throws just when he was going to get hit and they'd fall out of the sky right into his receiver's hands. He's as close as anyone could have gotten to 3 Superbowl wins.

The 9ers and their damn fans were surely expecting it, and it was great to hand them a much deserved beating. Then they said "wait till we get you at home" and then later got another beating. This game marked the changing of the guard as this would be the first of six straight wins and 7 of the next 8 games that the Rams would win against the 49ers who had beaten them 17 straight times and 19 of 20 going back to week 15 of the classic Monday Night comeback when the Niners overcame a 24-10 and 27-17 deficits to win 30-27 than a month later the Niner beat the Rams 30-3 in the NFC Championship on their way to repeat and win their fourth Super Bowl of the '80s. In fact, the 49ers would win 12 straight road games vs the Rams either at Anaheim Stadium in Anaheim/Bush Memorial Stadium/Trans World/Edward Jones Dome in St.Louis between 1987-1998. As for the St.Louis Rams, they would begin a stretch where they would go (10-2) in their next 12 games against the 49ers from 1999-2004. Then the 49ers would go (11-3-1) in their next 15 games between 2005-2013 than between 2014-18 both teams would split a pair three times then the Niners would sweep the Rams in '16 then the Rams swept the Niners in'18 and at press time from 2019-present the 49ers have now beaten the Rams five straight times and has beaten the Rams in series sweeps three times in the last six years. This 49ers Rams rivalry had its share of great games and great players and coaches since the series begin in 1950.

Week 4 vs the Bengals. Its the sorry Bengals no one cares. Then against my 49ers. HOLY S--- THIS RAMS TEAM is serious.
Lol at 20:43 Wilkins having to ice his foot after all of those extra points. One person who’s foot definitely won’t need ice is the punter. Those Niners were just not stopping those Rams. Seriously, the only way anyone was able to stop those Rams was by turning the ball over.
I was raised in redwood city California, maaaaaan going to school the next day and finally being able to brag about a win against the b**** a** niners was special to me, even though everybody, teachers included brushed me off as just a lucky streak, I was 9 back then
The 99 tams were 1st offensively. 3rd defensively . They are the fastest team I've yet to see on a field ever to date. This hane was the one that finally out the league on the cry baby niners on notice. Nobody expected the rams to come out hot. So when this game came everyone 5houvht their hot start was a fluke luck etc . But when they beat that ass after losing to the niners 9 years in a row the entire world finally noticed ok the rams are for real.
Because they hadn't had a winning season in 9 years the preseason the odds on the Rams to win the Superbowl were 200:1. That was down to 20:1 when they were 4-0 before this game. I knew if they beat the Niners the odds would drop far lower so I bet $100 them at 20:1 and thus won 2 grand on the Superbowl.
The Rams definitely were the better team that year no doubt about it but as I've been saying for years Stacy came to be one hit wonders cuz after they won the Super Bowl that year they never did anything or won a championship since
If the 14 or 15 Niner players (yes, I'm exaggerating.. a little) who touched that fumble on the punt had actually bothered to fall on it, who knows, maybe the outcome would have been different. Late 90's 49ers.. pathetic drafting throughout that time (Owens aside)...led to the dumpster fire that they were until 2012, and of course didnt learn from their mistakes, and are still a dumpster fire.
@Jonathan Dee Agreed! Last season was a pleasant surprise. Competent drafting and personnel moves turned that sunken boat into a first class vessel quick.
@Jonathan Dee You're 100% right. The one in 2012 was devastating just because it felt like we needed to win "now or never". Harbaugh really wore on me throughout his years there. I'm not sure if you felt that way about him, but I got to where I didnt like him. Now we have a rock solid foundation and competence throughout the organization.
@Jonathan Dee Yep, I remember by mid 2014 it was obvious that party was over. Drafting and personnel decisions were atrocious, Baalke.. and even that 2011 game Seattle gave them all they could handle! First rushing TD surrounded all season in that game. I always got irked by Harbaugh wanting to run gimmick plays (passes to linemen, etc..) and meanwhile we had no offense inside the 20 that year.

"They thought that it was going to be the Same Old Sorry Rams that they were playing. We unleashed on them. I'll never forget the look that they had on offense. I can remember Jerry Rice - and the great player that he is - looking like 'Oh my God, I can't believe these guys are serious.' Yeah, we are. I don't care who you are, Jerry. I don't care how great you are. I don't care about your Super Bowls or your rings. It's our time." -D'Marco Farr, America's Game documentary.
They were unstoppable back then.
The Rams were merciful to the Niners in the end. But they blew them out again later on!!!
Hi Daniel, as long as the vids are from the rams, any video will look fine, especially if the y are from the 1999 season. do you have the game against the Giants from that season?
I do have that game as well as all the other games from the '99 season. The Giants/Rams game was in week 15 so I'll edit and upload it once I get the weeks 6 - 14 uploaded. Go Rams!
"Horn...takes it at the 4...Horn's got a huge hole..he's going out the door" lol
I remember this 99 rams like it was yesterday. Week 1 vs the Ravens nobody care just like me because both teams were not good. Week 3 vs the NFC Champs Falcons, WTF is going on with Atlanta? Week 4 vs the Bengals. Its the sorry Bengals no one cares. Then against my 49ers. HOLY S--- THIS RAMS TEAM is serious.
Warner one of the best quarterback's ever.👍👍
Loved Vermeil passion. "Thats Horse shit!!!"
Vermeil was a great motivator. HOF worthy imo
It be nice knowing if the LA Rams can play like this against the Niners in this era, it'll be a fucking good feeling 😂
1999 was a great year for the Rams.
Which year was better for the Rams? 1999 or 2021?
This is what real football looks like
Lol at 20:43
Wilkins having to ice his foot after all of those extra points.
One person who’s foot definitely won’t need ice is the punter. Those Niners were just not stopping those Rams. Seriously, the only way anyone was able to stop those Rams was by turning the ball over.
I was raised in redwood city California, maaaaaan going to school the next day and finally being able to brag about a win against the b**** a** niners was special to me, even though everybody, teachers included brushed me off as just a lucky streak, I was 9 back then
The Rams could sure use Tony Horne for kick returns now.
Powell a beast tho
"Beast' might be an exaggeration but he is pretty good and a lot better than the Midget Atwell.
Yes!!!!!
This is the "not the same, sorry Rams" game.
The lost art of the Pump Fake!!...
This was the beginning of the end for the 69ers of San Francisco..😎🐒🐲🚽
Az-Zahir Hakim was giving Rams fans a preview of how he'd kill the dynasty.
6:54 - Ned Flanders on the right
Because they hadn't had a winning season in 9 years the preseason the odds on the Rams to win the Superbowl were 200:1. That was down to 20:1 when they were 4-0 before this game. I knew if they beat the Niners the odds would drop far lower so I bet $100 them at 20:1 and thus won 2 grand on the Superbowl.
Is that Ray Bentley announcing?
I never seen Dick Vermeil so upset and it wasn't like the niners even had a chance that day
when you watch their opener for the season with all of those empty seats ... and then 4 games later, not an empty seat in sight ...
Was that a barefoot kicker?
The San Francisco coach like, what had happened was?
Even if Steve Young played in this game the 49ers would not have won
The Rams definitely were the better team that year no doubt about it but as I've been saying for years Stacy came to be one hit wonders cuz after they won the Super Bowl that year they never did anything or won a championship since
Highlights shouldn't be 25 minutes long.
do the 2002 Rams victory games I niss that season
It'll be a while before I get to those ones, but I plan on getting to them eventually. Thank you for the input; I appreciate it. Go Rams!!!
@@DanielLeu_Rams rams are playing good again this year god it's so good to be a happy rams fan again
19:00...WHO!?!?
Damn I ain't heard some of these names and years Charlie Garner drafted by my Eagles,,,, A.z Hakeem
Why they got to roast my man garcia like that for? This aint the CFL 😂😂
Frisco don't want nothing, and they still don't
I wanna know if anyone else is here cuz we play the niners in the NFC Championship
Can’t defend what you can’t catch.
Down 21-10, the Niners get a MUCH NEEDED turnover and fail to take advantage of it.
NINERS LIKE WTF?!?!
