Forgot to include pricing information. It launched at US$399 (US$466.47 adjusting for inflation, or £361.02/€412.54 today (before taxes)) and later dropped in price to US$299 (US$349.56 adjusting for inflation, or £270.42/€309.08 (before taxes)). I bought if for £12 though. //EDIT: Also, if any of you try flashing a modded bios to get a higher voltage, I'm obviously not responsible for any screw ups etc.
I had this GPU after a 9600GT. It was a HUGE upgrade in the time. I was amazed how fast this thing was. Really good times when I could waste my money only on PC lol

@@SwiffyDK Yeap. At least 300% more Shader Unit if I remember well. Something like 64 Shaders x 216 Shader.
This was an excellent review of the GTX 260 including the overclocking. I will try the voltage bump you applied and compare that to my overclock at stock. I, too, am amazed by this older card and only regret that it only supports DirectX 10 as I believe this card could handle a few less demanding DirectX 11 titles. I had the Zotac GTX260 (216cores) it was a very good graphics card. Even in 2015 I played all games on it with good graphics settings
I'm looking at a i3 2gb bundle deal for £53 and see this card for £20 all I want it for is a vpinball table... Hopefully this will be more than powerful atm the table is run off a p4 2gb with a gforce 4 mx 490 ...with table stutter... but it's fine for MAME... this video shows that the i3 + 260 combination should be a decent upgrade for the cheapest possible pc I could find! : ) . Thanks!
