Yeah, I own a 2015 and it took me over a year until a palm tree in a parking accident showed me. Go to the right rear wheel. There is a bolt there. Take off the bolt. That is the front fastener for the panel. At the back the panel is held by Velcro. I'm going to replace the Velcro with a bolt. I have the $874.00 Battle Born battery on order from the factory. That's lithium, of course.
