I find it amazing that the Dad’s initial instinct was to care for this baby hawk! I’m sorry for the hawk family who lost their precious, beautiful babies. Such a rollercoaster of emotions sometimes! Thank you LadyHawk & wish everyone a peaceful weekend!
I pray the little one has a guardian angel of some sort. Tough situation. Hopefully the young hawk looks enough like the young eagles these two once were that they think of it as family and not prey.
Boy this certainly is a tense situation. It has happenened before that Bald Eagle parents make the desision to feed the hawklet and it survives to fledge. There was a video a few years back filmed in Vancouver, Canada that documented this behavior. It could however go the other way which is not in favor of the hawklet. Not so easy to watch that's for sure. Fingers crossed.
Amazing! This was an entertaining edit. Lots of endearing antics and funny looks at the camera. Man, I just noticed several of the updated videos. I was so hoping for a red-tailed hawk chick raised by bald eagles story, but it was not meant to be. God bless you, baby hawk! Better luck next time around. You deserve it!
Hello Illumi I was hoping for that miracle for the hawklet to be raised by the eagles too but unfortunately I think it was just too young and small and the eaglets were almost full grown for it to have a chance at survival. Very sad to see but at least we know that a RTH can be raised and successfully fledge from an eagle nest and maybe we will see that again on a nest!
I watched the whole thing on rewind the day it happened and I can't stop thinking about it. So much was happening and each moment contradicted the next. I still cannot find the right words to describe it. It was fascinating, touching, at times to watch and yes it was tragic and yet it wasn't, it's very hard for me to explain. I have seen stuff on these eagle cams that bothered me but this wasn't one of them.
I haven’t followed this before so how did the hawklet end up in the nest anyway? What a site! Mr North quickly zero’d in on Hawklet as if to say ??what?? LOL. Sing new here, what is mother’s to this family?
@@roncaruso931 why are you so harsh and aggressive? People are allowed to feel sadness and despair without you judging them. You are as entitled to an opinion as they are.
Wow, such a stunning but sad moments of nature. This is so similar with last year event on White - tailed eagle Latvia nest. Even the behavior of parent eagles quite similar - looks like male eagle was ok with new member in family, but female eagle had different oppinion over it.
Hello Polifel yes I was thinking the same thing - if you remember on the Latvia nest - Raimis brought it in and let it live. The hawklet was wingercising and flapping away and was not intimidated by the eaglets. The hawklet was a lot older and could do that - unfortunately Milda came in and did the same thing that DNF did here - eat it alive. :( Both adult eagles would have to allow it to live - like they did with the hawklet in Vancouver BC and it fledged successfull! ruclips.net/video/M0O1Dp2cocQ/видео.html&ab_channel=SassePhoto
@@ladyhawk there was also a hawklet that survived almost through fledge in Redding, CA. The hawklet grew up with the e's.
Triste fin
Mr North does seem to be confused and his instincts told him to brood it. The fact that the hawklet crawled underneath him too reinforced that behavior.
Praying for this little baby hawklet hoping it can be rescued and taken out of the nest& given a chance at survival so it can be taken care of & raised to be let out in the wild.😇🙏💕💕
