I used to gig at a venue with a cramped stage with an abnormally (to scale) high drum riser. As a cursed keyboard player, I was on the backline, and the drum riser was exactly at my knee height. With a bit of pushin' ... the back of my knee received a semi-perfect metronome from the drums. Low tech alternative. No display. Unlimited battery life.
The thing actually has NO display at all. It's literally just a vibrating metronome for your wrist. Kinda odd. I wish it had a screen, and could be a tuner too.
I actually bought four of these for the last band I was in, specifically so we could practice our timekeeping as a group. They were a bit fussy to get going (though the software may have improved in the past couple years?), and the biggest issue we had was handling the synchronization side. Basically, one band member's smartphone running the app would have all of them paired, set us all going, etc. - that part worked great... but the Bluetooth range was *not* good. You walk more than maybe 6 feet away from that phone, and your metronome stops working. To get it going again, we'd have to re-pair the thing and start the metronome over. It made for very, uh, intimate practice sessions at least? :) Again - that could've been the phone itself we were using; I remember playing around with syncing them all to my laptop's Pro Tools session and that *did* work too, with basically the same caveat - you couldn't be very far from the laptop. Walk away to get a drink from the fridge upstairs? Well, time to pair your metronome again... The hassle of doing that and constantly dealing with it, basically technical issues eating into our practice time, turned out to be what stopped us from using them to their fullest extent. It's neat and perfectly fine solo, of course, and when it works, the Bluetooth multi-metronome syncing is pretty awesome. If you can deal with that part. :)
The fact that you can drive this thing from your DAW might make this useful in studio in some rare cases. Like when you have to record anything that has to be recorded with a wider polar pattern mic and has a low volume and when also the player/operator has to be near the sound source. The click is usually the one thing that bleeds from the headphones so this could be a solution.
It's a great idea! It seams to work fine... You don't have just one of your 5 senses focused on the click, but 2!! (well... 3 if you've time to look at the light blinking, but, who can do it if you 're going to play an instrument?)
A W E S O M E ! ! ! ! You can try 120 beats per minutes, Claudio. So the time is beating, you know what I mean. A very nice gadget. Un abrazo desde CHILE.
I just received mine yesterday, but I am finding that even at the lowest vibration level, the vibration makes too much of a noise, that it would be picked up when recording music. Do you find that you have this problem too?
Now for musicians like violinists. Wouldn’t it get distracting on the wrist if the vibration is so strong? Or restricting? What about on your leg? Has anyone tried it?
I know that tool 😁 They showed it in German TV maybe one or two years ago. In a show for startup talents. The guys unfortunately didn't get the deal, because the investors were worried about the small group of potential customers 😅 obviously they have made it on their own!
@@Doctormix wow, wow, woww, I want one real bad, need to do some begging to the missus, this would be so good, and wont need to use that annoying click when doing something totally live in Ableton!
I see they have a body strap as well in their shop. Pretty neat wee device. Even endorsed by Jordan Rudess!!! Hey, your video is only new (as of typing this) but I get the following message when trying to apply the code: "Unable to find a valid discount matching the code entered" Is it correct as "CLAUDIO-PULSE" ??? Can you double check as I am quite keen to purchase one as I think they are quite reasonably priced!
I think it's quite interesting if you record a very quiet instruments through a condenser mic and want to avoid a click from the headphones on the recording!
Are you left handed? I wonder if it helps you beat out a fixed rhythmic pattern with your left hand - maybe building to a climax ? (just kidding for Friday humour)

Very cool Claudio...What time is it? ...130BPM...ha ha ha. Thanks, have a nice day.
130 bpm ‘o clock!

@@WarrenPostma Their upcoming smart watch Soundbrenner Core has all that
@@rsvmedia3132 THAT MIGHT be the one I want/need

Now, why didn't I think of that? That's a really cool invention. Maybe they can make a ring version especially for Claudio? ;)
@@Djlovehouse That is very useful information.
@@Djlovehouse - I have that "version" as well. Handy when trying to keep your rhythm on a water bed.
This is the first time hearing your name Claudio. I feel like we're good friends now.
How did this not exist until now! Great idea.
If you have MiBand fitness tracker, you can use it as a metronome too, with Vibro Metronome app for android.
Really? I have one, i wanna check this!
@ go ahead, it's free!
I think my wife Will steal it.
I see what you did there!
uh... oh...
LOL

what is the model and brand? The link in the notes is broken and the picture in the video is too glary to read from the box,
Hey doc, this prescription really helped ease my depression
This is Gooood! Great video as always
Can it be linked to other devices.... e.g a band could each wear one?
How does it show remaining power? I tried to spot it in the video but i couldn't find any battery indicator for it.
looks really cool, but would be better if it could maybe also show what time it is.
Time to make music, thats all you need to know
Can you use it as a conventional metronome - as in, can you plug headphones into it and get sound also?

Claudio do you speak Italian?
Si
The only problem is that it doesn't really keep time, it drifts sometimes and it's annoying, so I got rid of it. The concept is cool, though.

Why would I have to give it my email to use it? It has literally nothing to do with the product. It could work totally fine without it. 🙄
