I was on one of the inaugural sailings of Freedom of the Seas in 2006. Gloria Estefan was a guest of the sailing I met and got a photo with. I always wondered what her accommodations on the ship looked like. I imagine this must be it! haha
That is a very nice Suite cabin Brandon! Freedom is an older ship too! I think I like that suite better than some of the new ships! The MSC Seashore hot tub on the balcony of my Aurea cabin suite was probably my favorite part like you had on Freedom! It took a good 20 minutes to fill however you have to run hot water as there are not internal heaters aren't keeping the water hot. So that is different.
We always get the concierge to get maintenance to disable doorbell - Pro Tip to add to the list 😎 typically done before sail-away. I will say having sailed in 7 Royal Suites on all Non Oasis class - for 3 days you got way way more food than we have ever seen on 7 night and longer cruises . Glad you enjoyed the RS
Fantastic opening! Question for you: Do you pay extra for hosting a party? If so, can you share the cost of the sail away party food and drinks and the movie party with the popcorn and topping? Is it based on the number of people you are hosting or Is there a price list for hosting parties?
Luckily, if you order off the normal menu, there is no additional charge. Both the sail away party and movie night were no extra charge. However, if I wanted a special food (birthday cake) or alcohol that would be an extra charge. They will also provide you with a bartender if you want.
At one point I hung out with some really rich people. My favorite game in a limo was hid the champagne bottle (like hide & go seek). It's really hard to do!
I have stayed several times in the Royal Suite on Adventure and Explorer. A wonderful experience but I had one big annoyance. People kept ringing my doorbell...just for fun. Never caught them but always answered the door.
Haha yes, I had teenagers ringing mine from midnight to 3am. Couldn't come up with a pro tip to prevent this. Called Guest Services 20 times and no one ever answered the phone.
I like having my phone close to the bed at night, but instead of using a long charging cable, I bring a battery pack that I charge during the day and use to charge the phone at night.
Very cool I would be banging on the doors to get onto this suite as early as possible.
Thank you for this information, we will be in that suite in May.
You will love it!
Very cool suite! Thanks or all the information
I always wanted to do that. Freedom class is my favorite.

Did you do the Conga? :P
I sure would hope so!! That is a great story!
So glad you got to experience it Brandon.I was fortunate enough to stay in it on Freedom OTS and it was fantastic! Best cruise ever!
I could have moved in!

Good to know! I would love to do the Yacht Club or have a nice cabin on an MSC ship! That is one of the next things on my bucket list!
Wow. I am on Freedom now and pass that suite to get to my cabin. Thanks for sharing (as I’ll never be in one of those).
I didn't think I would be either, but here I am!
Very nice suite. I will travel with you in a heartbeat..lol
Lucky you!🎉

That is an amazing pro tip!!!! I didn't even think that was possible! Thank you!
There is a switch on the ceiling near the entry door to turn off the door bell
@@jazzman528 I have heard this since but I swear I never saw it! If I ever get back in a Royal Sutie, I will certainly be flipping this switch!

I'm speechless
Such a show-off! 😋
hahah, not showing off! Sharing my amazing experience! 😂
My husband and I had the Royal suite on the 4 day sailing from 4/15 to 4/19. You’re not kidding about the phone ringing, they called constantly.
hahah yeah, one lesson I learned hard way! So used to being ignored on the cruise ship! Was very different!

hahaha, they sound like fun people!

Love your video but cursing my hub for insisting on an ATS next cruse. 😄
Hey Mary!! do you mean on an Adventure of the Seas Cruise? A little bit smaller but still able to have an amazing time!
Pro tip for the royal suite use a portable battery for night time charging and charge battery at the desk during the day
That's a good one! I actually have a portal charger with me but never think to use it!
How did you get the Suite?
Assume you have already seen this but here is how I got the Free Royal Suite! ruclips.net/video/vMEXZcrVVeQ/видео.html

That works too! Funny, I have a battery pack in my bag with me at all times too. Just never think to use it!
