Thanks Andy! We got a lot of good advice during our build and happy to do my part to help the new people. We are all engineers here. I used to do FBW at Sikorsky on some experimental programs like the X2 technology demonstrator and the Cypher UAV. I've also worked software, electrical, mechanical, and flight test. These days I'm working in software at Collins. Adam is a mechanical engineer at Woodward.

I had a gut feeling it was something to do with aviation, and Adam too, that is just fantastic. I think you both would be great to sit down and have a drink[ beer] with one day.

The fold down ECB is a great idea. If I ever need to put another wire on one of my breakers it would probably be easier to build a new airplane!

I ummed and rrrrred for ages over the location of the ECB, and the idea of it being hinged therefore accessible just feel into my lap, I have to be thankful for innovation

Nice one Andy. You mentioned your "rudimentary" angle checking device. The whole time I was thinking what a clever idea it was.
And the fold down breaker board is a great idea! Well done!

Thanks Dan, I wasn't so much suggesting it was not a good idea, just rudimentary in the fact, inaccurate being the 22 deg, could be anything from 19 to 24? When i get the plane up into the new shed I will do the entire process again

I’m so excited for you! My kit will be showing up sometime in December of this year. Your videos are incredibly helpful. I’ve never built one either, so I’m thoroughly intimidated lol.

What kit did you buy? I will assume a Sonex?

@@pandyseven yes, that is correct. I believe it’s the same as yours. The Y X B. I’m pretty excited about it. From what I understand there’s about a 10 month wait time and I just ordered it about a week ago. I have pretty much everything I already need bought and paid for with the exception of the motor and I’m going with the jabri 3300.

well done. Its funny I made the same comment as you" I have pretty much everything ", and I was wrong, I seem to be always buying tools, or other parts etc, but at the end of the day, you will enjoy it. Where are you at in the world?
