I notice you use your trot lines in rivers alot, I live in Connecticut and here we can't use trot lines in any brackish water or rivers.do you have any tips for using a trot line in a bay ? I'm new to trot line just bought one and went out once . Had a couple on but they kept falling off to soon. I think I have to lower my roller, the line was coming up at a vertical almost.
Some of those earlier ones caught seemed super jumpy… like when you make a run during a poor shadow situation with the sun from the boat. Do you find them more nervous during bad fog conditions?
Clams are THE go to bait without a doubt. Especially for bigger crabs. Chicken can be easy when baiting lines that’s why a lot of Recreational guys use it but since he made them zipper bags clams are even easier then necks/wings

OMG you threw away the 2 big ones! 😢
welcome back, enjoyed this trip
What depth do you like to stay in early season
A compass is invaluable in the fog
Good tips Jake, we are hitting the lower Chester tomorrow 🦀

Just in general w sun cover a little
Why don't you try chicken wing tips
because whatevers in clams that does what it does to crabs so they'll hold that bait and attract them aint in chicken
