Once again, I really appreciate the microphone tests. It's oddly overlooked by a lot of other reviews, and for some people it could be difference between an endgame cable or one they are going to put back up on the shelf and keep searching. The build quality on these Moondrop cables appears to be pretty solid, so what intrigues me the most is the microphones. Like I mentioned in the MC1 video, the microphone on that sounds incredible. However, the MC2 appears to have a slightly worse microphone, which is (yet again) surprising when you consider that the cable is roughly the same price as the FreeDSP. In terms of preference (from least to most favorite), I would say FreeDSP > MC2 > MC1. I wonder if the microphone on similar priced offerings to the MC1 (like the Tripowin Grace or the Zombur) would beat it, while having (arguably) better looking materials. Keep up the awesome work!
I purchased 7hz zero 2 but that didn’t came with mic and c type cable for that i bought zero 1 cable but from the day 4-5 its not getting fit in mobile i have to fix it every time or it lost sound but today it totally got off can u suggest a c- type mic cable for zero 2 or this give a good job in mobile gaming
This is probably a dumb question, but how do you back/skip songs? I threw out the manual and when i press the button i can pause. However, doing a double/triple press or holding just pauses/plays the song. Do I maybe a faulty unit?
So plugged in directly to my windows laptop, the button doesn't do anything. However when plugged into a usb c hub to the laptop, only pressing the button does play/pause. Unfortunately, I don't think I gave another device to connect it to.
@@Emorque I don't have a Windows laptop to test with. I checked it does work with my Macbook, iPhone, iPad and Android DAP. Any chance you can try it with your phone or something?
Yes I literally just bought the apple dac for my phone. So far single Press and double press and holding work. Trying to triple press just either skips or pauses but honestly I'm fine with it as it is. I appreciate you going out of your way to try it out of your stuff
can you rank from best to worst overall (mic and comfort) between the tripowin zombur, mc2 and mc1 and freedsp? and last question do you think all of these cables would fit the qkz x hbb?
The three Moondrop cables only come in the one 2-pin option that would technically work with QKZ x HBB, but would be very awkward. Only the Zombur is available with a QDC option, which is really what you need. The Zombur is the best overall value anyway.
The mic is just ok. I think I have mic samples in for all these cables in my videos, if you haven’t already you can hear the mics for yourself, but they should all be passable for video calls. If you have the Hades, yes it’s regular 2-pin. If you have the older qkz x hbb, it’s QDC style.
I just learned about IEMs and I'm going for a TRUTHEAR X Crinacle Zero for my Xbox Series X, so I won't have to "wear" a headset anymore. However they don't come with a mic, so I was looking around for cables like this. The presentation was excellent and covered anything I wanted, except one thing. What is the positioning of the mic? Will it be on my shoulder? Because it seems a little far from the ear. You sounded great, but I was wondering how close it was to your mouth. Or do you have a better cable to suggest maybe with a different mic perhaps?
@@luisondr You heard him on the video, so there is no doubt IF it works. After checking into the whole thing some more, there is also the little pricier LINSOUL KINERA Celest Ruyi Microphone Cable, which is the same style as a headset's microphone.
@blindman8093 i have not tried those tips. I personally prefer Spinfit, either Omni for longer nozzles or W1 for shorter nozzles. Everyone’s ear canals are different though, so I don’t necessarily recommend using what works for my ears.
been using this cable for over half a year, and I like it to the point that if it breaks I'll just buy another MC2. this sounds like a dumb question, but I wonder if the cable will fit snugly with the Lan. I know that it's a Moondrop IEM (for context, all my other IEMs are from other brands), but the stock cable it comes with seems more akin to the MC1. I'm not gonna use it since i prefer having cables with inline mics, so i plan to pair the Lan with my MC2. It'll be my first actual Moondrop IEM, so I'm actually concerned about the fit even tho they're both from the same company so i shouldn't be as worried as i am rn

Yeah I agree the MC1 mic sounds a little better. I’m happy the reviews have information you find useful!
I'm looking for the best budget mic cable for iem, which do you recommend
@Wild_Cat I’m going to publish a review of the Zombur very soon. It’s only $10, if you want to stay very cheap it might be a good option.
@@IEMCableReviews looking forward to it
looks like I’m going forward with buying this, good review
Let me know how you like it!
3:50 mic
Is that copper wire? Or silver plated? I need a pure copper cable with mic for my EA500LM
Thanks for the review
Can you tell me if this cable works on the DUNU TITAN S
Does the mic work without a splitter?
If you’re plugging into a TRRS jack like on a phone or an xbox controller, you do not need a splitter.
Can i use this cable with truthear hexa and crinical zero red ? Fit?
Yes they would both fit fine.
These are same cables that come with aria 2 but with a mic. I am lookimg for a cable with mic for aria 2. Are there any better options than these?
I have not found anything significantly better yet.
Please tell me iem cable with volume button????
im new to IEM's so i was wondering which audio port do i plug these into, the green or the pink? or do i need a splitter. Do i also need a DAC?
If you want to use the mic you might need a splitter when plugging into a desktop PC. You don’t need an external DAC.

If you need USB-C maybe look at the Moondrop Free DSP?
This is probably a dumb question, but how do you back/skip songs? I threw out the manual and when i press the button i can pause. However, doing a double/triple press or holding just pauses/plays the song. Do I maybe a faulty unit?
Double and triple should work for fwd/rev. What device are you using it with?
So plugged in directly to my windows laptop, the button doesn't do anything. However when plugged into a usb c hub to the laptop, only pressing the button does play/pause. Unfortunately, I don't think I gave another device to connect it to.

So weird, I tested mine with the Apple dongle and it worked. Sorry I couldn’t solve it, happy to help though!
Gracias por tu trabajo.
How well do you think this would compare to the MC1? I'm using the Lan right now and I need a new cable for my Type C to 3.5 mm adapter.
The MC2 is a nicer cable, but they both work well.
would these fit with blessing 2? Thanks for your review
Yes.
Would this fit with the moondrop lan?
Yes
may i know the did your button work on pc / laptop ?
Button works on my Macbook, play/pause, skip, back, and hold for Siri all work. Not sure about Windows, I don’t have a combo jack on my desktop PC.

@@IEMCableReviews thx i was a little confused since i thought they needed a 2 pin connector so i wasnt sure if qdc worked with them
To be clear, are we talking about the Hades or the old gray and black one?

Yes
@xizuma Did you buy it?….Can you share the sound and mic quality with Truthear x Crinacle Zero Red?

For the most part these mic cables have the mic dangling somewhere around chin height.

They are similar.
Can I use this to Moondrop May?
Yes
What is the best budget iem cable mic??
With a mic*
MC1 and Zombur are decent and very affordable.
is it possible to quickly mute with these?
If there is a way, I haven’t found it.
Can i use this with truthear hola red?
Yes, both the Hola and the Zero Red would work great with this.
Can this be use on moondrop x crinacle dusk?
Yes
@@IEMCableReviews alright thx, i was wondering that will be hard for using an in ear while commuting without able to answer a phone call
which is more comfortable mc1 or mc2
The MC1 is lighter, otherwise the are both comfortable.

Yes
สายอัพเกรดนี้ใช้กับ ios ดีไหมครับ ตัวหูฟังเป็นZero red
Zero red yes, iPhone would need a dac or adapter.
Dose it work on chu 2
Yes
Whats the difference between MC2 and MC1?
The MC2 is a more premium cable with metal hardware. The MC1 is more basic with plastic hardware.

I have the LAN. MC2 fits perfectly.
Buy another one now even if the one you got is not broken because in the future you might not find it anywhere
Work it with ps5 controller?
I think so, I don’t have a PS5 to verify though.
Yes, it works for me on both the Xbox and the PS4. So it also works on the PS5
I like this video❤
