Glenties is a town in County Donegal, Ireland. Glenties has won the Irish Tidy Towns Competition five times in 1958, 1959, 1960, 1962 and 1995 and has won a medal many other times. As of 2016, the population was 805.

My father was registered in Glenties (his birth certificate says) in 1923, trying to find out history of his family is hard, we think his father may have been an American but unsure about his mother, we’re not 100% sure on her maiden name, it looks like McTarey and we think she passed away in 1928, if she did, I wonder if she’s buried in Glenties?
