I absolutely love these dolls. I think because I am a barbie fan and this reminds me so much of the 80s birthday and superstar Barbies. I hope to get both -- and I never get the collector AG dolls! These are quintessential pink, fluffy dolls with sparkly tiaras and I am here for it!
❤Love the AA doll option. This reminds me of the 1st AA Barbie with her hot pink holiday dress. I feel that I will most likely pair this doll with my original Barbie. The Barbie movie was so popular that I think a lot of collectors will be excited to pair AG dolls especially the AG Barbie 18inch with this holiday doll for 2024. I can never tell what is going to be a big seller or what will sell out so not taking any chances with these two dolls. ❤ Definitely getting one for that reason alone. If they don't sell as well, oh well at least I've decided to buy based on what I personally like.😊
I broke the bank again! Lol 😅 I bought the Frozen sisters for me and my granddaughters! I also bought only one of these new dolls. I definitely could not afford to buy two of them, although I did really like the one with Claudies's face mold. I do love the new doll, although I am underwelmed by her dress. I do love the stars theme, although they could have used more Swarovski crystals to make the dolls dress much moore prettier. I am hoping not to get one with the wonky eyes. I am so tired of that with the higher price point. My daughter just had another girl, so now I have 3 granddaughters to buy AG for! I probably should have waited for my AG rewards money to buy her but I know that Summer McKenny is coming out plus the Christmas stuff, so I think that I will use my rewards then! I have also run out of room, too, so I probably should not have bought her, but my favorite color is pink! So, that tipped the scales a bit!

Yeah, the dress is definitely giving Yule Ball vibes, Doll Studio By Kris also suggested that the dresses are inspired by Galinda's ball gown from Wicked, which I can kinda see too. I might get the Claudie mold doll if there are still some available at the end of the year, but I'm not gonna get one now, I'm holding out for Merida and the rumoured Play-Line Belle if she comes out this year!!
This will be my next doll. I will wrap her up and place her under my Christmas tree and act all surprised that I got her. I don't plan on ever unboxing this beauty.
They are pretty but the dress is a bit too pink for me personally. And they are pricey for the target consumer, kids. Honestly I think the price point should have been about $150. Skip the fancy crystals and box. And the hair will be hard for most kids to keep nice. In my opinion either you charge more for dolls that attract adult collectors or charge less when you’re aiming the product at kids.
I initially thought I wouldn’t add them to my collection but they grew on me and I really think they’re beautiful, especially their hair. maybe because I was contemplating on getting a truly me 125 so I’d rather have the collector doll and I like the idea of the bonus points
I would've LOVED if they went all in on HP and made an official Harry Potter LE doll and I would've ordered IMMEDIATELY. I agree with the two versions of Hermione and I can see Emma Watson in the girl (I used Lila for my newest "Hermione") but I agree that this was a missed opportunity.

I'm going here in Orlando, I did not plan to get the doll but she is so pretty and I like to sew, she could easily be used for modeling other clothing including modern unlike some of the other special dolls. I really like both of them but will come home with one tomorrow and wait and see when they release the GOTY at the brunch which one I will buy next. Thank you!
I agree with you 100%. These folks aren’t for me. I happy that they are good for others. I don’t think AG will be perusing any more HP dolls or items. jK Rowling has become too toxic and AG would do well to stay away from anymore HP items.
I also loved the Silver Princess so so much, I wish I had her. This punk doll is ‘eh, very pretty but I feel like I have seen her before. Very basic, sigh…. She is a lovely doll, but does not take my breath away. Your idea with the Yule gown would be fantastic, always loved that gown! I am awaiting the new Disney princesses I guess & Summer.
Yes I see it it's hermine dress. From Harry Potter Goblet of Fire from the dance scene by that point hermine didn't have bangs no more which I Think she was 5th year by that time. It's been a while since I've seen goblet of fire. But the dress the starburst dolls are beautiful and they remind me of the 2021 limited edition dolls they also had a selection of 2 dolls and in pink dresses.
I will definitely be purchasing both of them. Love them both. I just adore all the pink for sure. I’m a collector and these are definitely part of that. I do agree of running out of space sometimes. I stopped collecting the truly me dolls for that reason. I have every single LE and all the GOTY and all the Historical dolls. These I can not stop collecting. I can’t wait to get these tomorrow. I think it’s interesting that the drawing on the certificate is of the dress only and NOT either doll. That is new. Even on the other collector dolls that were wearing the same dress, the drawing had the doll. It almost makes me think that the original doll design was bolder (it looks like the same designer as the Shimmering Silver and Sapphire dolls),or it really WAS going to be Hermione (or Glinda) and they had to backpedal.
I sincerely hope they sell great for AG. They are beautiful. Personally, the ❄️ Frozen sisters had such a WOW factor for me and… I have every intent on purchasing the entire line of GOTY 2025. 😊❤🌈 So, this is not for me.

Is a completely glammed up CHRISTMAS doll with reds and greens all over, so much that you can't even HANDLE THE CHRISTMASNESS. Even if they spent yrs on other celebrations, I just want someone to satisfy my Xmas soul for one measly year. 😭😭😭🙃 Until then, I will need to make do with "Lucia" Kirsten. Feels a bit like American Girl needs to sit down and develop their purpose better with these collector lines. This set is very poised to appeal to kids, but.....nearly 300 for that purpose? Wish I was that kid.

I bought Shimmering Silver last year and loved her just because she was silver and so different. She stood out. I’m so tired of seeing PINK everywhere! Lila was pink, this is pink, girl of the year 2025 is pink… do they not know any other colors?! The birthday dress is pink too. Ugh. What a disappointment! Just another boring pink dress. Would love to see actual holiday features in a supposedly holiday doll!
They are not for me. They remind me of bad low budget Quiceañera dresses. It’s a hard no for me. I only like the AG train from Harry Potter. I almost bought it at the 40% sale instead I bought the seaside dinner.

I also watch Disnlsines channel he owns both and he said hands down buy the new when I asked his advice. So I bought the new version of the diner. I had bought the corner bench and table of the original diner on the secondary market I will use it to stage with my new version of the dinner.

She is basically Claudie in a fancy dress. Tiana has the same face mold too, and her outfit is beautiful, and she is half the price of the LE doll.

The Claudie mold is great but the curls make her too similar to Claudie. If I had her I'd probably straighten her hair for a different look.
