From what I remember of fishing that area, you catch nothing with the sun on the water. Used to get to Chesil before dawn for Mackerel then head to Portland and catch Wrasse on light gear then back to Chesil for Pollack or Bass about half an hour before sunset.
@@FullonFishing1 I may or may not have seen someone cast onto a trawler from Chesil, that's how close to shore it was. Between licenced static netting and illegal fishing, the 350-mile round trip became pointless and simply a cost that couldn't be justified in fuel, time and bait. A real shame as warmer water conditions were causing a resurgence in Bass population. Shame the local council were more interested in licensed netting than angling. If anyone is feathering for Mackerel from Chesil, I would recommend using a dexter wedge instead of a weight for the rig, have caught the odd bass that way, usually only a little bigger than the mackerel, but still a bass.
@@FullonFishing1Asked myself this question a gd few times after a testing Session on chesil . Always go bk for more though , pretty much the definition of Addiction lol
Well done for sticking at it.👏👏 Not a waste, 2 species and dark is better for you. Lesson learnt.🎣🎣🧑🎓 Good luck with the rest of your species hunt.🤞 Thanks, as always, for sharing.👍 Take care and stay safe.😷
Maybe it's just me ! But if your fushing chesil and its calm as its not a South westerly wind stirring it up ( especially in warmer months ) it does not happen! Looks like you caught a bit off sun !! And forever whatever reason this season is taking ages to start ! Thanks for the watch 🙂 better times on your next session 👍 if we can just lose the easterly winds ...
@@FullonFishing1 sorry im one off your loyal followers, I know you know your shit on Fishing! I only mentioned the eastly wind for those that watch but don't live on the south coast.. Northerly and easterly winds are tragic for chesil ! Those trawlers can rape it as water is calm !! Bring on the SSW winds
Jesus the car park wasn't to busy but mind you looks as if their al blocking emergency access gates . Least no blank should pick up soon on hounds fingers cross..
