i know serveral different ways to get the shape at 3:10. It´s called windmill and it´s bosstble to create a catamaran or sailboat or a special bird from it in my origami book these models are grouped under the name "transformations" or "variform" (german: "Vielgestalt")
Disfruto viendo y aprendiendo de sus videos, aqui estoy en el 2020 haciendo una cruz para el altar de muertos, gracias Leyla, ya hice la calavera y las flores.
I know this is an older video, but I was hoping that if you see this comment if you could tell me what tool that is you have you were using to point out different creases and stuff. One instance it is shown is at 7:04. Something like that I think would be of use to me to work very small details in my origami. Anyways thank you for the video. Matthew Green’s instructions were too confusing for me. I had to follow your video to get this done.
midnight dragon Congratulations for trying it. I totally understand your frustration. Sometimes we need to grow our skills before we are able to make certain origami figures. You might want to try your hand at folding some of the models featured on this page: www.origamispirit.com/videos/origami-for-beginners/
Nice video with voice is very helpful. You also explain beforehand where the next fold will be...this is helpful. There are one or two steps that I am having a difficult time understanding. If each sequence of folds were given a number then we could tell you exactly which sets of folds we are having a problem with. I want to make several of these. But, I can only get about 2/3's of the way.
This is definitely not the best way to do this model. This model requires very accurate folding. The best way is to pre-crease for hydrangea. Then, follow her instructions. Her instructions are very clear... It is easy to follow her hands. This is important for the 'tricky part' of this model. Her instructions are precise and accurate. (She is not a native English speaker... and does a wonderful job teaching in English). I made this model 3 times... the first one was 'Meh', the second one was better. The third time, when I did the hydrangea pre-crease, the cross was wonderful..
Just done my first one of these with the patterned paper and it's come out perfect. Great video.
Thank you for the directions. They were demonstrated and articulated so well & thoroughly.
Thanks for the video,by the end of this video,my brain is already aching but in the end it is still worth it.

Great. I'm happy you made it. Congratulations!
I love it! But i made it out of a 20x20 cm paper. Might be easier with bigger Paper :D
And the paper has to be thin. :-)
Awesome Just in time for Easter! Love it...

Wow, very gifted and talented..God bless!!
I have a question, do you voiceover when you make a mistake when speaking, or because you forgot to speak?
Callen Johnston - Adams I do voice-over to clarify or correct an explanation.
Ok :)
Hello Layla, this turned out beautifully, I made the version that shows the center of the paper. It was so easy to fold and fun ... thanks for sharing
Did you end up cutting the paper because at some parts there were no pockets or the paper didn’t have an opening like your paper
