My ex-husband damaged the bond with my daughter by lying and he and his now wife bad mouth and talk smack about me. I feel my relationship with her is one where she judges me and withholds true connection. I’ve been there for her always and now she treats me as her errand boy. It feels lacking in true respect and closeness. I’m not sure it will ever be better as her walls are high.
I can empathize with this bc I too have a similar experience.

This is a no brained for me: my 23 year old is entitled, disrespectful, and violent towards me. I’ve decided to divorce myself from her toxicity. All the money and love in the world would not help this child who blames me for everything and belittles me all the time. I’m done

I have struggled this so much not because I don’t love my daughter but because I was so independent and was brought up with figuring things on my own and being alone and it was all that I know. I am always afraid of her being too attached to me and can’t be strong but I have so much to learn!! Thank you for your guidance!!! Wish I discovered this sooner. My daughter is 7 and going on 8. :)

My daughter is almost 7 months old
“Wow... I’m a single father of two children (my daughter and her older brother)that are now adults. My daughter just shared with me that she’s always felt that I really never thought that was good enough. Although I never told her that. I guess in my actions or non-action.” She gathered that. There’s a LOT of personality tests out there. They all basically say the same thing.
@@Marianne_Hickman I never mentioned any tests. Tests can be wrong. It's better to analyze the categories and see what you are. Also some systems have just four categories. MBTI has 16.
