Austin Hargrave (PeanutButterGamer): Well intentioned goofball with a strong sense of morality… unless it’s funnier to be evil. He claims to fear leadership roles, but often is thrust into them regardless. He looks to his friends for confidence, and performs in them well. Well-enough.
Dean Elazab: A raucous adventurer with a knack for pushing his luck- and he knows it. Another word for Dean would be: polarizing; you either love him or hate him. Love him for his ridiculous (and dangerous) antics or hate him for endangering the team.
Stewart Hargrave (McJones Riley): Discerning and knowledgeable (more knowledgeable than anyone else, anyway), McJones steers the group in the right direction and provides key information on the task at hand. Due to this role, he’s a little more cautious, but more than ready to play along with shenanigans when there’s downtime.
Jeff Fabre (SpaceHamster): Jeff has a penchant for escalation when things get silly, but when it comes to building a solid infrastructure, you can guarantee he’s working on it. A competent adventurer, Jeff is arguably the most reliable before, during, and after a fight to get the job done.
Barry Kramer (The Cool One): Quiet, chill, and quick of wit, Barry’s the rock of the group. He wouldn’t say this, far too modest, but you just can’t help but think he’s so dang cool. While he’s not one for leadership, affixing Barry to a task almost guarantees it’ll be done safely and quickly.
Jared Knabenbauer (ProJared): Jared is the definition of ‘always on’; if there’s fantasy to be sold you can expect him to captivate. He’s level-headed and roguish in planning and approach, but when it goes down and friends are in danger, there’s few more determined to assist to the bitter end.
Ian Macleod (Brutalmoose): He doesn't actually exist.

I love how hardcore deaths are usually super sad but when dean died literally everyone's just like "dean is so dumb why did he do that" 😂

To be fair, Dean's death was so utterly overconfidently greedy that I couldn't do anything but laugh, despite my love for the guy xD

It reminded me of PBG's death in Minecraft HC 1, where he kept on fighting Endermen alone in the desert despite nearly getting killed 3 times.

179marioyoshi971 he switched to his bow. It wasn't really his fault. Pbg's mouse hand obviosly slipped and he pushed down mouse button 3, causing him to switch to his bow.

I love how no one was particularly sad about Dean's death, they were all more disappointed than anything, lol. Guess that's what you get for just running blindly into battle without waiting for your teammates. R.I.P. Dean, you died probably the worst death in this series, followed only by Jirard's death by AFK.

I appreciate the 999 music, it's a fantastic tone setter, though I wish more people knew about the game.
I'm sure the game's gotten more exposure with all the ports but it still isn't known nearly as well as it should, in my opinion.

Proton Toad Extreme Extrication, I believe.
It's funny I only just discovered it because one of my friends was doing a LP of it a couple months before this hardcore season happened.
i had some weird dream that they did a candy crush hardcore, but at the same time it was minecraft, so it was this weird minecraft candy crush hardcore. And McJones died first, then PBG died, and for some reason everyone else dies that episode. So pretty much the series was 4 episodes.

That sounds like a pretty strange dream. I had a dream once that they were doing a Hardcore of some weird-looking skiing game that pretty much only existed in my dream. It was the regular cast along with Shane and ProJared, and pretty much everyone died in like two episodes.
Lauk i once had a dream where i was a "mpv" of the hardcore group. It was weird because they never played minecraft hardcore.( i forgot the the that replaced minecraft

Everyone is sad (or happy) about dean, but I'm worried about where the heck MCJones is going! They were right next to Tristitia!
They were going to Anvalia, which is close by to Afaya, and Anvalia mines is also a dungeon.

It's actually east of Afaya, while Tristitia is north of Afaya, so they sidetracked themselves. Anvalia's not a bad place, but it's super easy to fall off, or get knocked off, but it's a hell lot safer than Tristitia.
Well didn't they nerf Tristitia? And get rid of the pigman.
Anvalia is about the best place in the eastern section of the map: Plenty of food, potions and tool chests as well as a water supply and crafting station.
The downsides are the lack of military chests and the chance to fall off. If they move carefully, nothing should happen and that's where I'm worried about Jared.

This is for the Editor - Nice job with the wind-blowing sound (3:08) before Dean died. It was some nice foreshadowing which almost instantly told me that Dean was going to die.

I don't usually dislike Dean but in this hardcore he's been bothering me with how greedy he has been and how he got all pissy when other people got good items. And the fact that he constantly threw caution to the wind, that's how mistakes happen. Also spoilers, down below, read with caution if you haven't watched the episode yet.

Dude, Dean is always greedy. That's not unusual. He was definitely way too reckless though. Shouldn't have gotten so far ahead of the group if he was low on health.

Same. Sort of bummed. He brings hype and energy to the group without being forced like 90% of let's players. Dean's one of the most genuine of the group, which is probably why he swears a lot, but I appreciate how real he is.

Not ragging on Dean here because I learned this a long time ago the hard way when I started myself:
Rule #1 of MineZ Survival: If you have potions, use them! Otherwise, you'll regret it doubly when you die and remember that it was easily preventable. Living with less supplies is better than risking death and being angry at yourself. Imagine failing a parkour jump and dying from 9 hearts, when wasting a healing potion would've saved you.

when hardcore started so long ago, i watched minecraft hardcote when it first came out, i always had a bit of a soft spot for dean and enjoyed his difference in thinking and in personality compared to all the other hc members, but he was a bit to dangerous for him to be one of my favorites, i much more rooted for peebs, jon, mcjones, and barry, i liked the completionist since i watch his channel, but afk happened, so i wasn't the greatest fan of dean, i guess you could say i was thinking "That dean guy" but now im like "That dean guy"

Tim Liebenow I've liked Dean since the beginning, too. He was (to me, at least) funny, he could be a really nice guy and helpful teammate, and his random references are always hilarious. #ThisDeanGuy (did I seriously just use a hashtag? I did? Okay then.)
Dean was a great man.
He often recived hate for his in most eyes, a careless, way too exited, extroverted personality, even though most haters loved him in secret but were so envious their love turned to hate.

Dean lasted to the end in the first season of Hardcore (in general), but now seems to never make it to the end, like here (he lasted close to the end in Terraria 3). Maybe HE got Terminal Bad, and THEN around Minecraft 5 Hardcore Austin got it from Dean, who gave it to Jeff.

The only season Barry was the last one alive in was Minecraft #2. Minecraft #1 doesn't count, since he and Jon both completed the objective, and their "duel to the death" was nothing more than a bonus clip after the season was already over. In MineZ #1, PBG was the last to die, not Barry.
