I boarded a green RF route 322 Watford to Hemel Hempstead at Watford Junction. It had an advert on the rear for Whipsnade and I heard some people ask the driver for tickets to go there. The driver said something like 'We have Persil as an advert as well, but we don't take in washing'. Such a modern-looking 'bus and lovely engine sound. Unbelievable that it was almost a contemporary of the half cab TD.
Memory lane! We used to go to London on Red Rover tickets starting from Weybridge on the 219. Nice RF sounds, though I think they have been "pasted on" afterwards, the original being possibly a silent video (or even cine film?) The surrounding motor vehicles are fascinating too; several old Ford Transits for example.
If these are pristine buses I'd hate 2c1 that hadn't been washed..gr8 buses tho..1st I went on..227 chislehurst 2 castle palace .last 400 series btwn crawley 2 e.grinstead..I think ..it was 55 yrs ago ish.😅
Was hoping for some 164 , 164A, 80, 280 bus action to Epsom, Tattenham corner, Walton on the Hill journeys but it was not to be . Eau de LT bus, once smelt forever fondly remembered.
What a nice sound the AEC engine makes on the RFS

Ha ha the British have such a dry sense of humour. "Another pristine vehicle" @06:28
It’s called irony!

apart from the 80 they had all gone double deck long time and the 80 was an early conversion to BL
