    This project is one I have been eyeing for awhile now. Before I even started my first crochet project I saw this and told myself I would work hard to be able to do it. A month later and I am finally tackling it, and loving every second. So first thankyou for inspiring me to do this. Your teaching style is comprehensive, and your speed isn't overly quick, like a ton of others. Second, you know that really pretty blue, cardigan, (or at least I think that is what it is, it's not a sweater for sure and not a shawl because it has sleeves and is more jacket like), that you have a pic of in your opening. Where can I find that? A tutorial, or a pattern, or something, I love this and I have a few people I would love to make it for.

      Thank you for your kind words and feedback! It is great to hear that this video is helpful to you. I hope you like how your square turns out. As for the pretty blue sweater in the beginning, that is called the "Clare Beauty" and can be found on this page on my blog: celticknotcrochet.com/patterns/celtic-knot-crochet-patterns
      Just scroll down the page until you see the photo of this sweater, click on it and you will be able to purchase an instant PDF download of the magazine it appeared in. Happy crocheting! 🙂

      @@celticknotcrochet Thanks a ton, I actually finished it, and if I could figure out a way to upload a pic I would show it off. It came out amazing. Considering I am teaching myself and have only been at it a month, I was super surprised. The only thing I can't figure out is why my square has a bit of a wave in it ( it doesn't lay completely flat). I thought I might have done my knots to tight, but I did a different piece today using a Celtic knot pattern, I upped the size of my hook, and made sure I didn't tighten anything down, and it too had a wave. Any ideas for this beginner?

      So glad to hear you love how your square turned out! Congratulations :) All I can think is that your stitches are loose and therefore making your project a little wavy. The best thing to do is to reduce the size of your hook gradually to make your stitches a little tighter. You can always email me a photo - I would love to see it! :) jennifer@celticknotcrochet.com

    Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I tried learning a 'cord' on another site but wasn't confident I was doing it right. My son is getting married in Sept 2021 and I would like to try and make your knot, in a little pillow

    Great tutorial, absolutely infuriating as a left handed person thought haha.

    • @celticknotcrochet
      @celticknotcrochet  5 месяцев назад +1

      If you turn your cords over so the Right Side is facing down, you can use the diagram in the same manner as a Right-Handed person would. Thank you for the reminder to make a Left-Handed version of this diagram. Over the last year or so I have been adding Left-Handed versions of diagrams (when applicable) to all of my recent Celtic Knot crochet patterns. Let me know if you need any help 🙂

    • @stephanielove1907

      @@celticknotcrochet thank you for the advice :) your tutorial is amazing ❤ when you say turn the cords, do you mean do it upside down kind of, like flip it?

    • @celticknotcrochet
      @celticknotcrochet  5 месяцев назад

      @@stephanielove1907 Yes! Lay your cords down so the Wrong Side is facing up and they should line up with the paths on the diagram as if you were Right-Handed. You may have to play around with the crossings and where the ends of the cords end up so don't sew anything until you flip it back to see the Right Side and can check everything first. 🙂

    Is there any way to make this a lot smaller? Like 3-4 inches?

    • @celticknotcrochet
      @celticknotcrochet  Год назад +1

      In order to make it that much smaller you could try using Size 10 cotton crochet thread but I am not sure all of the stitches and proportions would work out okay. You would also need to downsize the diagram by quite a bit. What were you hoping to make?

      @@celticknotcrocheti hoping to make a bunch of these about the size of a granny square😂 this will still work for what I'm making, I'm just gonna have to make it the center square 🥰
