From what I’ve seen even the ai isn’t dumb enough to do that focus deliberately but if they have no other available foci (which usually happens with how long the civil war takes and small amount of foci available before finishing the civil war) they will be forced to do it

It was cool seeing a fascist Italy in the Allies, which is almost historical. Initially, Italy was apposed to Anschluss and even signed a Treaty with Britain and France against German expansion, but when London sign the Anglo-German naval agreement, the whole Pact fell through.
Do make sure to set the AI paths from default, to random As it causes even more chaos when historical is turned off (Otherwise the AI tries to make a balanced game for the player, so no super factions Unless you play as the US or USSR)
It's weird how Chamberlain got the appeasement label, especially after he declared war on Germany. I guess one could say he was appeasing the Soviets after they invaded poland as well.
