I love Downey as Iron Man and Evans as Cap, and it may be quite the unpopular opinion, but I believe neither of them should return. their ending was so beautiful and completed their arc wonderfully. Unless there is an incredible writer that can bring them back in a proper manner without taking away from their sacrifice and past story, I say let them rest.
I think people who have nostalgia glasses on would hate you for that take but everyone else understands there’s a time to move on. I really love RDJ as Stark but there’s thousands of men who can play the role and should be afforded the opportunity to at least be mediocre. We shouldn’t be so beholden to singular portrayals
Which is why the multiverse allows multiple possible variants. It does not rely on only one version of a particular character

Hence a variant returns for like one movie. Why do people pretend that fans want original Tony to return and permanently? Your entire point is moot.
The Multiverse does leave the door open for all the Heroes and Villains that have died with the MCU's 199999/616 Universe to return. But, I would not like the MCU to disrespect the on screen death's of Tony Stark/Ironman, Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow or anyone else that have died during The Infinity and Multiverse Saga's.
I would prefer to wait until the soft reboot where all of the characters we have lost can be recast and integrated into the MCU.
Before the episode kicks off I just wanna say I’d love to see RDJ back but not if it undoes his sacrifice. I think the best angle would be a Tony from a universe where Spiderman and iron man switch roles in the Infinity Wars and Endgame story. Peter held Tony as he dusted away saying “sorry kid” and Peter led the group to bring everyone back and Peter himself snapped to defeat Thanos and Tony was left to mourn his young ward. I’d love to see Tony and Peter reunite in that way even if briefly.

A possible alternate earth way to bring back RDJ is to have him play an alternate earth Howard Stark, and get the kid who played Harley in Iron Man 3 to come back as that earths version of Tony Stak, and emulate the Armored Adventures animated series for that earth.

RDJ would probably come back as an AI of himself, allows him to be timeless and still be a supervisor or mentor for some other younger characters
I would like RDJ to return as a variant who did become Iron Man, but never had the experience in the cave. So here's very cocky and carefree like a pre-cave Tony Stark.
I want both Superior Iron Man and our Tony to show up in Secret Wars.

It should be RDJ's Iron Man as Iron Man, herald of Galactus. Since this is rumored to be set in another universe, I want this to show an Iron Man that broke bad, which would be a good example of the multiverse and how to do it well.

He was able to figure out what was wrong with Ultron and merge the Ultron program with his own brain scans and use the mind stones energy to help make something to help it work before hulks snap

It's odd that he's so willing to return. Why did he leave in the first place then? Was the death of Tony Stark completely a story decision? Or were they not willing to pay him anymore?
He wanted to go out on top and thought the ending was perfect. Rogan said fuck that when the audience sees him in that suit again everyone will go apeshit. Definitely swayed him. He really thought he ended the best way, the best send-off, best line to end the character. Nope, he'll come back and it'll be MASSIVE

Ugh, can we stop with the bloody Targaryens! Also, to the Breakroom crew, NO, the Targaryens have not been reigning for that long when the Dance of Dragons happens, only 120 years or so, which compared to the Starks, Arryns, Lannisters, is a pittance. The only reason they got anywhere was the dragons. (Btw, the Targaryens weren’t even major Lords in the Valyrian Freehold, just got lucky with Daenys’ dreams of the Doom.). Targaryens only ruled Westeros for 283 years, compared to the Starks doing so for thousands of years, it’s like comparing the life of a human to that of an elf. I’m seriously tired of dragons.
It seems as though Marvel snapped away their audience and undid all of the great work he did to establish the brand. I don't think Marvel deserves RDJ right now....they need to do some good projects first to reestablish the brand before being able to harness the power of RDJ. Otherwise RDJ assumes all of the risk of the brand and if he doesn't succeed at making it great again....he could be blamed for it, or much worse...it could affect his career in a negative way.

Modern Star Wars trilogies are planned by committee and rigid in their vector to align with marketing data. Boring. Modern Star Wars is manufactured to keep you attached to the Star Wars BRAND to continue to pry open your wallet. It's treated as an investment, not a love affair. If they don't love it, why should I?
In comparison, The Empire Strikes Back was created AFTER Star Wars, not during. They accepted the challenge and succeeded in making the most mind blowing movie as a followup to the most spectacular movie ever seen in theaters. That's the original trilogy's legacy. Disney sucks.
